Altogether I will never do a Carnival Cruise again. They are unorganized, corny, over priced for cheap stuff, poorly constructed, and honestly low class. Some people may like that, I mean we are low maintenance rednecks from Tennessee but that’s not what I was hoping for at all with this cruise and definitely not the vacation I paid for. Next time I’ll stick with Royal Caribbean and pay the extra money.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
In the main dining room the food was great! I am vegan and I also have special food preparations I need done to my food and they made everything perfectly how I asked and made sure it still tasted delicious! The buffet was okay I ate the same salad bar every day being that that was the only place I could eat for lunch. They need more simple healthy options. Breakfast was ate in the dinning room again which was still awesome!

Food was awesome!! Staff was soo kind and helpful!
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
So the pools are always crowded unless you go late at night or early morning. The gym had enough to get a pretty good workout in as long as you timed it when it wasn’t super crowded.
Gymnasium

Great for a small gym if it wasn’t filled up with people.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
The entertainment was extremely corny and seemed unorganized. All the adult stuff was just too inappropriate and I’m 22 and my husbands 29. The comedian on the last night was actually great though!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was extremely helpful, kind, had a smile on their face, and ready to help! Our room steward, Artawan, was the best. He ALWAYS took care of us and was super patient with us.
Ship Quality

It was okay
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was okay in size. Now the floor was all stained up and the bed was soo uncomfortable. My husband had to go see a chiropractor when we got home. Showers are tiny. Plenty of closet space and huge mirrors.
Ship tip
Don’t cruise with carnival! Save your money and go on a nicer cruise line!!!!
Beautiful place! Water is clear and people are kind! We took a taxi to a little beach off the beaten path and it was great. We did our own snorkeling and saw lots of coral, lots of beautiful fish and a huge school of fish, and a grouper.
Let me start off by saying the place is a tourist trap. Everything except for the nasty over crowded free beach costs money and it’s not cheap either. Was wanted to take a taxi 5 miles down the road to visit little French Key but they wanted $35/person and to get into the beach was another $25/ a person. That’s $120 and we would’ve still had to pay for food. We definitely would’ve been better off paying for an excursion. You can rent a car and drive around the island yourself but you have to get there before they are sold out. It’s still $45-$100 deepening on what vehicle you can pick. Shops are normal price for tourist place. We ended up just getting back on the ship and eating free lunch. Like I said the free public beach was dirty and like Daytona or Panama City beach during college spring break. You had to be within inches away from the stranger next to you.
Well we had and excursion booked for snorkeling in turtle cove but they canceled it literally 15min before we had to leave out. So we had hardly any time to pick another one that wasn’t already sold out. We picked a 3 reef snorkel in Playa Palacinar National Park. It was beautiful but they took us at 9am and it was cloudy so I was so cold I couldn’t do the 3rd reef. My husband did and said it was cool though. It got done at 11am. So we got back on the ship for free lunch. We came back and looked at the shops and if you like the shop this is the port to do it. Sooo many places to look we didn’t get to them all! We went to Fat Tuesday’s and bought some drinks and used their free WiFi. It ended up being a blast, everyone was drinking in there so they were all super friendly! Haha
We were scheduled to get off the ship at 8:45 but didn’t get off until 9:15 because everyone who wasn’t supposed to be getting off, started walking off with people who were and they had to hold up the line because they weren’t in the right place. It was extremely unorganized and ridiculous. Honestly it was more the immature people who knew better than the cruise members. But that’s what you get when you sail with Carnival.
I’ve done Carnival twice, great times! I just went on RC Harmony, it had more choices for shows, additional charge restaurants if that’s what you like. I still think Carnival was more service friendly.
You must like going to bed early, Royal shuts down at 11pm. After that there's nothing to do. I was on the Harmony last Christmas and wasn't impressed. I guess they all have their plus and minis. Oh I'm a redneck from Florida....lol
Sorry for your experience. Maybe, it is what you expect out of a cruise. We have been on eight Carnival cruises. We have had a great experience on all of them.🤔
Sry you had a bad experience. We’ve sailed Carnival 11 times altogether. Only had 1 bad experience and it was the Sunshine x2. We learned quickly... don’t sail near spring break or holidays... always 7/8 days or longer ... we’ve generally had a blast. We’re set to sail the Miracle next April. Haven’t sailed her yet, but looking forward to it.
