Review summary
We chose to go on the Carnival Miracle for our honeymoon. This was also our first cruise. When we arrived at the terminal, the line was very long, but the process seemed to go pretty smooth. The next thing was unexpected. When we got on board we were on our own. No one to welcome us aboard or to direct us to our cabin. Luckily, it wasn't too complicated, but it would have been nice to feel welcomed. We noted on our reservation that we were honeymoon, and to our disappointment, this was never recognized by anyone from Carnival. Our main goal for this cruise was to relax and enjoy some quiet time away from home. Our goal was met. We did do some gambling and participated in some of the activities. Some of the shows/activities were poorly scheduled, as they started during our dinner (late seating). The Bacchus dining room was very nice, and our waiter Celio was great. We were excited to dress up and look nice, but unfortunately not everyone followed the dress code, which was hardly enforced by Carnival. Our ports were the main reason we chose this, as we enjoyed all of them (panama, costa rica, and belize). Save your shopping for panama and belize, as there is hardly anything in Costa Rica. Overall, we had a very enjoyable honeymoon. Our main complaint was that Carnival didn't seem to care that it was our honeymoon. We would have been happy with a little note saying congrats.Ports of call

Cons: Food was not as good as expected, seemed mass produced and was very bland
