My husband and I really enjoyed this itinerary and would to this cruise again. It was one of the best cruises we have taken.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Boarding was very easy. We arrived at our boarding time and took about 15 minutes to get on the ship and this cruise was at 100% capacity.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We eat mostly in the dining room for breakfast and dinner, very few meals at the buffet. We tried the Italian Speciality restaurant this time. Although the food was good, the same dishes we got we served later in the week in the dining room.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Shows, comedy, bingo, deal or no deal, love and marriage were all very good.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We always had something to do.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Staff was very good and friendly. The failures we experienced was due to Carnival still having less staff on board. Our room steward seemed to be new and we do not think he understood English very well.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I loved the Dream when we sailed her and the Magic design was the same. Our cruise was at full capacity and at no time did we feel crowded or unable to experience what we wanted to do.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
This is the first cruise that I actually used my Lysol wipes and cleaned the room. The bathroom had a strong smell of urine when we arrived and there was mold in the shower. When I wiped the sink the wipe turned black. After I cleaned the room, I did not have an issue the rest of the week. Drains seemed to drain very slow holding water in the basins as it drained and may have been the cause.
Ship tip
Don’t try to do everything, enjoy breakfast in the dining room, relax and have fun.
The people in this port were very friendly, not pushy. Island was very clean. However, we found souvenirs and things to be very expensive. We did an excursion that we swam with turtles in the ocean, went to a beach and went to nature park and saw ocean caves.
We did the Sooner ship with VIP Chef and snorkeling. would do this again. The ocean current was too strong to snorkel so we enjoyed jumping off the boat into the ocean. Food was excellent. We really enjoyed this.
We rode ATV, hiked up a mountain and came down in a waterfall. This experience was a lot of fun, however, the hike up to the waterfall was difficult if you are not in shape.
We did an excursions in Miami, airboat in Everglades and airport transfer. We were off the ship by 8am and luggage was waiting. Breezed through customs very quickly.
