Stateroom was adequate size, musty smell. Gift shops overpriced. Bartenders rude. Port cancelation was a huge disappointment. Buffets were closed at the times we wanted to eat lunch, and selection was limited. 18% Gratuities were added automatically to all spa services, whether they deserved them or not. On the upside, waiters in dining room were very friendly, paid great attention to food allergies, food orders where always correct. Room steward was very helpful and kind. Not a great first impression for my daughters first cruise.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
I have no idea why they schedule appointments, it was like a beehive. Very unorganized.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Dining room was great! Buffets were closed when we went to eat at lunch time on several occasions.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Decks were closed due to ruff seas. Forced to stay inside. Only thing to do was casino, Bars, shops opened at 5pm, evening show canceled because someone on stage got hurt. Mini golf, rope walk, water slides, basketball courts all closed, due to ruff seas.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
As stated before, the show we planned on going to was canceled.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Waiters were great!
Bartenders on the other hand, were rude and if you weren't a sexy blonde or brunette, they served you last.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Ship was clean. But layout was terrible. Spaces were so small. Packed in like sardines. Hard to find empty seats. Many of the tables still had dirty plates and etc. on them. No one clearing/cleaning tables.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Size was adequate, musty smell, plenty of towels, our room steward (Marlon) was very good. Refrigerator barely cool. Curtains had burn holes in them, towel had a rip in it.
Ship tip
Bring more than one book. And maybe a puzzle book.
Buffet serving times are posted so should not be a surprise if it’s closed. All gift shop prices are always expensive. Go to customer service desk and remove all the gratuities not deserved.
