Overall we had an enjoyable cruise. We have been on many Carnival cruises, mostly their smaller and older ships. Food was good at almost all of the restaurants. Didn’t care for the Pizza. Never felt crowded on the ship. Plenty room in all the venues. Wouldn’t have a problem sailing on the Magic again. A couple negatives for me was this. The limited channels on the TV in the stateroom, I understand they want you out in about the ship spending money, not in your stateroom. We sailed the last weekend of the NFL season. So there was some important games being played. Disappointed that they had many TV’s in the Bar or Casino, but they only showed one game at a time. Didn’t care for watching a game in the smokey casino. Would be nice if the Magic had a Sports bar.

Food and Dining

Food was surprisingly good. Didn’t care for their Pizza. Pizza was burnt 2 of the 3 times I went. Breakfast buffet basically had the same items each day. Brunch in the MDR was excellent. The best value was at the Seafood Shack. A lb. of peel and eat jumbo Shrimp for 10 bucks. The portion was enough for two people.
Onboard Activities

Enjoyed playing the many trivia games throughout the day. Some of the days there was a lull in the activities.
Entertainment

The comedian was very good. The only issue was that he was the only one. Carnival had others that was supposed to entertain, unfortunately because of the TSA computer issues. They weren’t able to arrive on the ship. The Love & Marriage show was the best I’ve seen.
Children's Programs
No kids
Service and Staff

Our room steward Oliver was excellent. Didn’t see him often. That was okay. He kept our room clean and supplied of what we asked of him.
Ship Quality

This was the largest Carnival ship we have been on. Ship was easy to navigate. You can’t go from the aft to the bow of the ship on decks 3 and 4. The Galley is on these decks.
Cabin / Stateroom

L shape cabin with large balcony. Loved the location of the Alf of the ship. Easy to get around the ship. Bed sleep very well.
Ship tip
If you love BBQ, go to the Pig & Anchor on the first day. It’s on deck 5, Outside Starboard side. Many ppl don’t know about this hidden gem.
Checked our luggage the night before. One of my bags came up missing. Looked for an hour looking for my bag. I knew someone had taken one of my bags. There was one bag left which was the same color as mind. So I knew that person had my luggage. Filed a lost claim through the Carnival Rep. Upon leaving the terminal, a lady was standing outside. She had my luggage bag. Thank goodness. A honest mistake. Not Carnival’s fault at all.
I’m glad you had an enjoyable cruise in the Carnival Magic. We enjoyed this cruise in May so much that we booked it again this year. It will be our first repeat cruise on Carnival. Half Moon Cay is our favorite place. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. 😎🚢☀️🩴🏝🪸🐠🌺🙏🏻
