Review summary

Easy boarding and leaving the ship. Food was average for a cruise as well as dining room service. Stage shows were very good. Plenty of seats available at pool, shows, bars. Even the elevators were easy to use. Halfmoon Cay was a BIG disappointment. Carnival should be ashamed of themselves and try spending a little $ to improve the facilities. I would NOT return to the island. It was comparable to being in a big tourist beach on labor day. Much to crowded and we were the only ship visiting at the time.

Cabin steward was excellent. The staff in the mdr was good, but we've had better. Not very attentive, or overly outgoing

Inside cabin on deck 8. No issues to mention. Great cabin attendant. Midship so easy access to the elevators which never had a long wait

Enjoy. Nice ship, clean,easy to navigate. Try to catch ALL the stage shows

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Carnival needs to expand the beach area. It is WAY too small to handle the amount of people. Very crowded, no shade UNLESS you pay for a clamshell chair. No trees. Less then 2 miles of beach for 2000+ people!!! The bbq was awful. The burgers were charred on the outside and severely undercooked on the inside. Had to throw in the trash. Jerk chicken was too spicy for my wife to eat. Carnival needs to take a serious look at the food service on the island. The far end of the beach was ok. Tropical fish were easily visible in the water. I felt "steel drum music" would of been more appropriate then the stuff they were blasting. The tender ride to and from the ship was fine. Bring your beach towels from the ship.

I was on that sailing too and Half Moon Cay was a zoo. It was terribly crowded even though we tried walking farther down the beach. Too many people for the size. We couldn’t find any open chairs. Absolutely everything else about the cruise was wonderful. The tender ride there and back was enjoyable.

I loved Half Moon Cay. It is so much better than the amusement park they built on CocoCay. I think it’s a matter of personal preference. I like that the island has been preserved. I loved the glass bottom boat tour. However, I really appreciate your review.

I was on this sailing what I realized is the further you go down the beach more chairs can be found. I enjoyed Half Moon Cay myself the water was clean and I was able to see clean to the bottom. The food did suck on the Island I went back to the ship for Lunch.

So glad I canceled my cruise to there in Feb. I don't even get off the ship there. Nothing to do there, no shops, or places to eat! Sucks!
