All in all it was a great cruise. I see on here all the time people saying the magic is older and Outdated, This was my 14th cruise with carnival and this was definitely my favorite ship. I’m not sure where all the negativity sometimes comes from. Didn’t notice any bad smells we thought the food was always great. Sometimes people are just hard to please. I think this is an awesome ship And everyone there including Simon the cruise director were great !

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We ate at the main dining room every night there is always something on the menu that everyone of us enjoyed never had anything bad.
We never did eat at the buffet during lunch or dinner but that was by choice not by what was on the menu.
Guys burger as always was incredible.
Pig and anchor was good also.
Onboard Activities

I did several of the trivia games, they were all well done. All of the entertainment staff were excellent and always entertaining. The quest was a little less exciting this time. I think it has something to do with the people that were there complaining that it was too offensive. When in fact they were all told before hand that it would get that way . Those people should’ve left.
Entertainment

The shows were goodBut I would’ve preferred to have Heard less of their lead singer and more of the other two male singers they seem to have much better voices and range.
Service and Staff

Everybody was so friendly and nice. Our steward Aurora was exceptional.
Ship Quality

Yes there is rust on it .but if you were in saltwater 24/7 You would too. They didn’t bother me at all didn’t affect my cruise. Our state room was always clean. Dining room and restaurants always were clean no complaints. The layout was fine had no problems getting around.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was an awesome location for our cabin. Walk right out onto the Lido deck in less than 30 seconds everything was right there. Our steward Aurora was awesome.
Ship tip
Do the behind the fun excursion on the ship it was well worth the $95. Plus you get a baseball cap backpack and bracelet.
My favorite port all time, this was my sixth time being at this port. The four of us rented a golf cart and just drove around the island. We went to the lighthouse and stopped off at several other locations where the beach was empty. Ended up on Duke Street at the sandbar bar and grill. If you ever go there try the shrimp quesadillas they are delicious.
We did the monkey land excursion here it was So much fun. One of the little guys did Relieve himself on my leg but the guy there told me that that was good luck. I don’t know about that but it didn’t really bother me that much , they were so cute and so much fun to feed .
We didn’t do anything in Fort Lauderdale this trip but I have in the past and the port Everglades tour that takes you to ride the air boats and see alligators. It’s a very nice excursion especially if you have a later flight.
