Service and Staff

5 out of 5
iwayan and erig in the main dining room could not have been more welcoming, kind, or friendly. they understood preferences within one day and were always welcoming . There was a gentlemen from Taiwan that worked the early shift in the coffee shop - i did not catch his name, but he was there every morning when they opened. He was always welcoming- efficient- and friendly no matter how the line or the grumpiness of the line waiting for coffee. He knew my name by the second day and my order by the third day. These three gentlemen are an incredible asset to Carnival. Jose - our ships room steward was equally kind and effecient

I would’ve demanded a free dinner for you and your family including free desserts in the main dining room.

CRUISE CANCELLATION AND ITINERARY CHANGE POLICY FAQS Q. 'XX' port was cancelled, why am I only receiving $X.XX per person. I paid much more for this cruise. A. You are receiving a refund of the Taxes, Fees and Port Expenses just for the port of 'XX' as a credit to your Sail and Sign account. Q.  How is the refund for $X.XX per person calculated? A.  The total fees that you paid include: International Departure Tax (this is non-refundable) Customs Fee (this is non-refundable) Immigration Tax (this is non-refundable) Taxes, Fees and Port Expenses for embarking & debarking port, as well as each of the ports of call. Only the cancelled port is refunded. Note: Refund amounts for each port may vary each voyage. Q.  We were supposed to visit two Bahamian ports and now we are only visiting one. Why am I not receiving a refund? A.  The Bahamian authorities only assess Taxes, Fees and Port Expenses for one port although the itinerary calls on two Bahamian ports. Therefore, no adjustment is being made. Q. Why wasn't I notified of the itinerary change? A.  If Carnival has adequate notice prior to sailing that a vessel will deviate from the published itinerary we will promptly - upon making the itinerary change - notify guests of the change through their travel agents or directly, in the case of a direct guest booking. Unfortunately, if it is a sudden change, we may not have the opportunity to provide advance notification. Q. I don't want to sail on this revised itinerary and want a refund. A.  If the itinerary change is for reasons within Carnival's exclusive control (i.e. mechanical):  Guests will have the opportunity to cancel their booking without penalty prior to sailing and within 24 hours of the guest notification. In such an instance, guests will have the option to receive either a cash refund or a future cruise credit. In the event a guest does not cancel the cruise on a timely basis, no refund of any kind will be available. A. If the itinerary change is beyond the control of Carnival (i.e. weather):  Guests will not be provided any compensation. Guests electing to cancel will be subject to the standard cancellation terms. Q.  I booked this cruise only to visit 'XX' port, and now we are missing that port. I want a refund for this? A.  If the itinerary change is for reasons beyond Carnival's control, no additional compensation will be provided on board or after the cruise through Guest Care. Q.  Where can I find your Cruise Cancellation and Itinerary Change policy? A.  In our Cruise Ticket Contract

Read your cruise contract. They owe you nothing besides port fees.

Why give compensation for missing a port other then your port fees or tour refunded. You used the ship the same as on a sea day. Might read your documents you signed before you cruised. I also hate to miss a port or have problems with a port but I know that is a possibility when I book the cruise. But I still have a good time as you did.The ship can’t control the weather or medical problems. Once you leave the ship the port not Carnival is in charge of the port and your luggage and customs.

All cruise lines will inform up front in their policies, that they don't compasate in case of having to miss a port. I know Carnival tries their best.

A friend of mine was on this cruise too and she said that they were refunded for Grand Turk. I would look into it more.
