Review summary

Great food options, but of course, Guys Burgers and Pig and Anchor need a bigger area and need to be open more as they are the most popular choices. The pizza is good, but also needs more help as it gets very busy after 10:00 pm. I thought steakhouse was ok - but thought the dining room food was just as good, and was more personable. This was the first time in awhile that we got assigned dining room seating. I liked it better than Anytime seating as your wait staff got to know you and what you liked. It was nice being able to see them after a day in the sun and joke with them.

Embarkation

We flew through the process. We arrived early, but our stateroom was ready!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I thought the food in the dining room was comparable to the Steakhouse. I think I am the only person that thinks this, but the steaks in the dining room were just as good and were included.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were so busy, we did not get to do all the things we wanted.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our dining room staff (Kumara, Setlawan and Nikola) and room steward (Erman) were awesome!

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I loved having the 2 different areas in which to get ready - very handy for 3 getting ready at the same time. Size was good, but a little claustrophobic entering through the long, narrow hallway. Comfy beds. TV a little small, but only watched overnight.

Ship tip

Once you get the layout of the ship, it becomes much easier to get everywhere. The Serenity Deck is awesome when the wind is just right. Sometimes very windy and others no breeze at all, which made it very hot.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Had dinner at 15th Street Fisheries. Very good!

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

3 out of 5
Long walk to beach area where we could find open chairs.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
Went to Margaritaville. It was ok - not enough shade. I like to lay out, but it gets really hot and need to some shade.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
I was surprised that the pool area was not busier. We were able to find chairs and shade easily. However, there is no lazy river. The existing pool weaves around, but it is not a Lazy River as we have come to experience.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy. We wanted to be one of the last ones called, and we got the appropriate luggage tags to do that the day before disembarkation.

We agree with you about guy,s burgers . They need to be open longer on all the ships , and the pizza area also needs more help .

Thanks for sharing! We agree about the MDR having as good food as steak house. The secret to YTD is to find a wait staff you like and eat in their station every night. They not only knew our names but had recommendations based on previous orders.
