We could not have asked for a better cruise and at this point I have to say the Magic has been my favorite ship. Great food, drinks, staff, entertainment, cabins, and ports!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth and did not take long at all. We did have FTTF so that made the process much quicker as well.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was amazing, especially in the MDR. The Lido Buffet was okay as usual. The food wasn’t horrible but it isn’t the greatest either. We only ate at the buffet twice and rarely eat there in any cruise because there are so many other places to eat. Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana were great. We never did get to eat at Guys Pig and Anchor and it is only open on sea days. The Italian restaurant is a specialty restaurant that costs extra for dinner but lunch is free! The Alchemy Bar continues to remain my favorite and the Red Frog Pub is also great! The Ocean Plaza seating area on this ship by these two bars is the best place to hang out and chill indoors.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There is always something to do and we had a blast. Visited the Sky Course, played trivia, went to comedy shows, attended all of the nightly shows, and watched movies at the Seaside theater. I don’t know how anyone could ever be bored. Pools could get a little crowded but we went right when school was out so there were a lot of kids. We understand this. If you sail during peak times expect children.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Our cruise director was fairly good. The shows were great and so was the comedy. DJs were great! Went to the Sail Away party, all Playlist Production shows, comedy shows, Hairy Chest Contest, and many more.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward Gede was the absolute best! Also our MDR staff Mary Rose and Loving were just amazing! They would remember us even when we came in for breakfast. They were always attentive and treated us so great!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This ship is always kept nice and clean with staff picking up dishes and clearing tables.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was great! Comfortable beds, nice standard balcony, plenty of room. Our cabin slept 3.
Ship tip
Get the drink package because the cost of drinks adds up quickly!
HMC is the best beach I have been too! We had a Beach Villa and I highly recommend it. You have your own private bathroom and shower, food, drinks, fridge, water floats, towels, and snorkel gear. We had a blast! We are visiting here again in November and have the villa booked again. The drinks are expensive here. You can carry off drinks so I suggest that you buy some beer on the ship and take it off with you. The selection at Captain Morgan bar also has a limited selection of beer. We did not visit any of the other bars on the island but I believe there is a couple other places to go.
We spent the day at Jacks Shack and had an amazing time! Umbrellas cost money there but it is way less crowded and the food is great! It’s much more affordable than Margaritaville.
We went to an all inclusive resort for the day. Had unlimited drinks and food. Spent the day in the shade in the pool as we had been in the sun a lot for a few days. Be careful...the Mama Juana will catch up to you very quickly!
It was a little chaotic because we were called to disembark but the customs stopped the process to clear congestion so we ended up waiting in line for a long time. The line through customs was very long as well. If we had left with FTTF it would have been much faster but we had a later flight so we waited for awhile to get off when our floor was called.
