Review summary

This was our first cruise but definitely not our last. Fantastic time!

Embarkation

It was fast! No hassle only thing missing was a cattle prod!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The buffet was nothing special but the main dining room experience was fantastic. Our team of waiters were awesome!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the spa facilities immensely.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows were great, a few of the singers would not make it past Simon but I can't sing either. But overall the performances were terrific.

Service and Staff

Not a single complaint

Ship Quality

It's got some miles on it so there is wear and tear and a few areas can use attention but overall I was satisfied.

Cabin / Stateroom

I didn't really know what to expect. Size was perfect. We did discover that you need to wipe off the chairs on the balcony before sitting. The stacks, I assume, throw ash or char occasionally which leaves "skidmarks" on your clothes. And the balcony glass is well over due for a cleaning.

Ship tip

Use the exterior deck on the promenade to bypass the casino, unless smelling like an ash tray is your thing. And take a look at the ceiling tiles in the ladies room just passed the casino. Maybe I suffer from a dirty mind, but just saying..lol

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
No excursion but enjoyed watching Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous float by.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Absolutely beautiful. Pristine water and chickens.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
Very hot, someone pooped in the pool, rocky beach and the island view reminded me of home minus the water, very Industrial. But the water was gorgeous with an awesome shipwreck. I wouldn't choose this location again just because it doesn't feel inviting.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Loved this port. Absolutely beautiful coming in. We did the Outback Adventure and it was so much fun. Kelvin and his team were amazing. Funny and informative.

Disembarkation

Not bad, the line at customs was longer than any ride at Disney but it moved quickly so I can't complain too much. People were complaining that the steward saying "left side is elevators so left line if you require an elevator, right side is escalators" wasn't being clear. Lol ah people. But for shuffling 3-4000 people off into one location, it could have been worse.
