Review summary

1st. Being a platinum or diamond member on Carnival, MEANS NOTHING.

On embarking the ship we were steered to a (so called) priority line, where the people ahead of us were ist time cruisers. Then my wife was issused a blue card (ist time cruiser) when I said she was platinum, was told to see customer service on the ship. Food service was slow at the early sitting. Only one show for early dinners, two shows at 10:15 pm. On debarkcation, same problem didn't matter whether you were a first timer or diamond. everyone who was carring thier own luggage left at the same time. We will not be cruising on Carnival again. We are going to stay with Royal Caribbean, and Celebirty.

If first time cruisers embarked when you did they had to have purchased FTTF. For 69.00 dollars their cabin gets the same privileges as platinum n diamond. Also if you got there after the group 1st boarded yhey would just have you go straight to boarding. Am platinum but have never encounterd a problem. Love Carnival.

You've sailed enough on carnival to be "platinum or diamond memeber," whichever you are and don't know..... and you've cruised that many days that one thing and your going to never cruise carnival again.... seems like bs. Jus sayin

If they already started embarkation by the time you got there, the platinum status means nothing. You would have had to been there for the first group they let on, which is suite guests, diamond , platinum and FFTF. So, I'm assuming you showed up after the first group which is why you're complaining.

We have been platinum for a while now have not had a problem priority boarding and tendor etc works for us no lines perfect documents marked priority all good .. 50 days until we leave Australia for our back to back 18 cruise so far happy with carnival 🍹😎

Well it does to me. Never had a problem. I have documents in order with VIFP numbers and boarding passes all stamped priority, go to correct location,S&S cards always ready and board. Same with debarkation. Follow directions go to priority baggage, customs and gone 15 minutes maybe. We always have a grate time. Sorry you weren't happy.

I'm not a Platinum or Diamond member so I purchase FTTF. I've ever had to wait and check in was a breeze. During debarkation , they allowed us to choose which zone we wanted to be in since we had an early flight. Not a single issue. Sorry for your bad experience, but mine was total opposite.

Went on the Norwegian Star last year and wasn't impressed. Food in the buffet wasn't very good, but the specialty restaurants however were very good except for the Italian restaurant.

Did you use your VIFP # when booking? If you are platinum or diamond you automatically get priority boarding We always get priority it is on our boarding pass

Try Norwegian. You will love it. The service and food were incredible on our recent trip on the Escape. Getting on and off the ship was incredibly fast and I didn't have any special privileges.
