Review summary
Having been on several Royal Caribbean cruises I was no exactly sure Carnival staterooms would meaure up. Carnival would not have to go far to beat them in food quality, Royal Caribbean was terrible. So we got a Deluxe Ocean stateroom. It surpassed our expectations. Two bathrooms, one with toilet, shower and sink and another with a bathtub and sink. The room had a couch, frig and a very large porthole. The dinning experience was superb. Really excellent wait staff and vey good menu. The food was always fresh, never tasted frozen or like a conference dinner rubber chicken. The vegetables were always fresh and the deserts equally as good. They even had a 24/7 pizza place, which was excellent as well.
The exertions were well executed and very enteraining. We snorkeled in Costa Maya and Belize, zipped lined in Roatan, and climbed on a submarine in Cozumel. All destinations were excellent. The disembarking and boarding processes were done well. We never had to process through foreign customs, just ship card and driver's license.
Port Canaveral was excellent, very efficient boarding and disembarking there as well.
They had several good programs for children of all ages. We recommend the Carnival Magic to anyone.

Ship tip
The balconies were good but only if you plan to stay in your stateroom, otherwise the deluxe ocean view stateroom was GREAT
