Review summary

I'm sorry this is my last Carnival Cruise due to the experience I had, its just unacceptable. It's to many other adult/family cruise lines out there that I will be my happy with. Not to discouraged anyone else, this was just my experience & my choice. Regretful, KW - Michigan

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The main dining room food was good, I had a terrible experience on my 3rd day from the full breakfast buffet, it was a long piece of auburn hair in my prepared oatmeal. So disgusting I could not eat for the rest of the day. I was sick.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Too crowded

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Good

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
It was okay, the children shows were really good

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Dining room staff, waiters/bar/short order cook staff, medical staff, cabin attendants, service desk staff, & ship attendant staff were helpful, accommodating & good. But the maintenance & administrative staff was not as accommodating as I would have thought they should have been. Especially when a guest has gotten locked in their bathroom facilities for 45min as soon as I entered the ship in a main area of the ship before I even received my safety instructions or the key to my cabin and it took the maintenance personnel that long to figure out how to open a bathroom stall door that was clearly inoperable prior to departure. Then nothing for that disgusting hair I just about ingested, shame on CARNIVAL. I love carnival cruises, but NEVER AGAIN IN LIFE.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Upon arriving on the ship I went to the restroom in the main area after being directed by a nice ship attendant before even going to the area to get my cabin key, I got locked into the bathroom stall by an inoperable lock for 45min I had to first wait until another guest came into the restroom and plead with her to retrieve me some assistance and it took the maintenance personnel that long to figure out how to open a bathroom stall door that was clearly inoperable prior to departure. Then the next couple of days again nothing, that administration could do at the time for that disgusting hair I just about ingested, shame on CARNIVAL. I love carnival cruises, but NEVER AGAIN IN LIFE.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was clean, no issues . No complaints bout the cabin at all. Our Cabin Attendant was wonderful.

So dramatic.. NEVER IN LIFE! What does that even mean? You’ll cruise in the afterlife and maybe it will be with Carnival. I agree, the hair was nasty, but I believe you allowed that to ruin an entire trip. Sad

Were you expecting some form of compensation for *almost* eating a hair? I know that is disgusting...but let's be honest...it's not THAT bad. Just get rid of the hair, get something else to eat, and move on.

imo, it sounds like that one minor mishap set your tone for the whole cruise. hair in food is gross, I had it on my rcl cruise, but that won't make you sick. I didn't let it ruin my cruise
