Review summary

We were looking forward to this cruise for months. Weather was terrible, boat was extremely rocky, all excursions were cancelled and port security at the Nassau port were extremely rude!! Will not be planning a Carnival cruise in the near future.

Main pool was closed most of the cruise because of rough weather. Same with the water slide.

Our 10 year old granddaughter did not attend kids club.

Service and Staff

Ship steward and dining room waiters were excellent! We did not like the fact that ship announcements could not be heard in the cabins and especially on the main deck. This was very frustrating since the weather was so bad and ports of calls and excursions were cancelled!!

Except for the areas the passengers were throwing up because of the rockiness of the ship. Also, we did not enjoy having to walk through the smoke filled casino to get to some of our destinations!

Ship tip

Don’t trust the Carnival Hub app. The weather was never correct, it alWays said sunny. Also our cancelled excursion never said cancelled, even though it was cancelled TWICE!

Port was fine. Were supposed to visit Nassau on day 2. Weather was bad and could not dock at the port so excursion to see the dolphins was cancelled. My 10 year old granddaughter was devastated! This trip was her 10th birthday present!

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

Again, weather was bad - could have visited on day 3, but instead sat off the coast of Florida all day and were kept onboard. Again, all excursions we had planned for this day were cancelled. So frustrating!

Appreciate your details. Sorry you were disappointed. Announcements into the cabins are rare and only those that are very important. Sad that Mother Nature ruined your cruise.

Unfortunately weather can’t be helped. It’s the risk you take when cruising. Can’t blame the cruise line for that. Princess Cays is a tendered port and it’s not safe to run the tenders during bad weather. Carnival’s priority is to keep everyone safe
