We have cruised many times and love Carnival but this was our first time cruising with a little one. My grandson is 1.5yrs and though he was very good I was disappointed in the services available to him so that he could play and be a kid. Just a room with some space and a few toys would have been great. Theres a library with board games how anout a similar room with blocks or something

Food and Dining

We always found something good and different to eat at every meal. My only complaint was that I had my time dining and Carnival changed us to late dining which didn’t work with 2 kids.
Onboard Activities

We were very disappointed to find out our 1 year old was not able to get in any of the pools and there was no splash pad. Plus besides the little playground there was no place for jim to just play with us for a little bit. I thought we were allowed in a camp carnival space with him to play but it was only open for that kind of play on the last sea day from 8-10am in which he was sleeping and then having breakfast. Also there were only 4 balls on the mini golf course.
Entertainment

We enjoyed the America Rocks show and musicians around the boat. Jaiden outside the casino was great though I could have sat and listened to James in the Piano Bar for days he was so fun and engaging.

See above, need to think about our younger cruisers.
Service and Staff

K was our room steward and he was amazing. I say this everytime about our room steward- they are always so attentive and make all the difference and K was no different. Little things like giving hints to the kiddos on finding a duck, and making a small towel animal in the hallway for my 1yr old grandson whose eyes lit up with joy when he saw him. Thank you K! Also, huge shout out to the photographers on board, they could easily get board but they strive for the best shots every time and Rolando(I hope I got that right) in the pixels studio was amazing. We came home with unforgettable keepsakes

Always clean!
Cabin / Stateroom

Always clean but another note- Carnival has the very best pillows, seems like a silly comment but they make all the difference in a good nights sleep.
Would have given 5 stars if the beach wasn’t so covered in coral. It killed your feet to walk out into the water. Lots of beach space, chairs and the kids playground was a perfect reprieve for my little guy who had been couped up on the ship with nothing to do.
I wouldn’t want to share toys with a ship full of little ones at that age they put a lot of things in their mouth and often have dirty hands other passengers may not be responsible enough to keep things clean it would be a sanitary nightmare viruses spread quickly on cruise ships
Appreciate your feedback. It’s uncommon for those of us who sail without wee ones to know about the programs available. Now you have learned and can share with others. Glad you still enjoyed your cruise.
