Review summary

Overall it was an enjoyable time as we were with friends. The staff, service, food, and stateroom were great. We wish the layout of the ship was better and that smoking on the ship was more controlled and limited to certain areas.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation from Port Canaveral was a seamless experience. Everything went smoothly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was plentiful on the lido deck and most tasted good. The only downside was all of the ice machines were not working and a lot of times the ice cream/yogurt machines were empty. We also encountered coffee being empty The speciality steak restaurant was awesome. Well worth the extra payment. Early dining in the silver restaurant was always great. Service and food were above par.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pools, putt putt golf and basketball were all nice. We were always able to find spots to sit. Only issue here is passengers smoking everywhere outdoors. There was nowhere to get away from smokers and smoke smell while outdoors. The only respite we had was on our own stateroom’s balcony.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Most of the stage shows were enjoyable. The rock show had some hiccups with the singers being off-key and harmonizing was cringy. The piano bar was nice and the singers/bands in the casino and lobby were great. Comedian Jeff Jena was a bright spot. Absolutely hilarious and very relevant.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters in dining room and speciality restaurant were top notch. Room steward was cordial, always available and kept things clean. Specialty coffee bar staff also friendly and knowledgeable

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
3 stars for the layout and 5 stars for cleanliness. The layout was very difficult to maneuver with not being able to access certain locations by elevator unless you are in a certain spot on the ship. You would have to either walk down halls of staterooms or walk stairs up or down. Others were having the same problem as we were. Heard many same complaints from other cruisers. Carnival should maybe offer signage or explanations of how to get around ship. We will avoid the Liberty from now on. Enjoy other Carnival ship layouts better.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our balcony stateroom was roomy and clean and we selected one in a good location.

Ship tip

Figure out where you need to be to access dining rooms on opposite ends of the ship and

We enjoyed Nassau shopping and Starbucks.

Bimini, Bahamas

4 out of 5

Only place we smelled smoke was in the casino. Didn't go in any bars so don't know about that. I agree about the Rock show and the times of show was poorly timed only having one big show per night. There should have been an early and late show to accommodate dining.

Great review. Thanks for the details. I agree with your smoking comment. We had to love chairs on the deck because we caught down wind smoke. I’m glad you liked Bimini. I’ve never been there.
