I doubt I will cruise again unless I go first class. The activities were silly. All the perks, ammenties and cool things are gone.
Past cruises I went to various shows during the day also, music was for different age groups, lots of dancing.
Also, if your not a big gambler, you do not get perks. It does not matter how many cruises you have been on. My husband has been on 5 Carnival ships previously...no perks!!!
Embarkation

We sat in the terminal waiting for our group to be called. I never remember waiting to board. You use to check in and on the ship you went. You could not hear what the lady was saying, they should have put the group number on the monitors. Then we got onboard with carry-ons banging into everone cause rooms not ready. Too many people running into each other . Awful!!

Food and Dining

The food was average, not like it use to be, again! The buffet was not good at all, just blah. The Steak house was fabulous! Excellent service and wonderful presentation. The dining rooms food was average. They did not have lobster the final evening--again past cuises really out did them selves the last night. The baked Alaska was not flaming at your table-it was never flamed! Very disappointed.
Onboard Activities

Went to comedy club twice.Enjoyed it very much. There really was not much to do except pool activities.
Entertainment

All the music was rapp or spanish music. What about us baby boomers that would enjoy nice music to dance by. The music was for young people only. I was looking forward to dancing in the nightclub but cant stand the loud rapp music! Playing trivia was a joke, you can not understand hardly anyone on the ship! Get people that speak English!!!!!!!

Only one plug in entire room! The room was very dusty, mirrors were dirty, bathroom shelves filthy.bed was comfortable, nice pillows, average size rooms. Refrigerator was cool not cold.
Went to Atlantis and was not allowed to walk around the property. We were stopped because we were not staying there. The aquarium was $190.00 for day pass...really???? I have been to Nassau before so didnt do tour.
I’m not sure how many years it’s been since your last cruise but carnival hasn’t flamed baked Alaska for 15-20 years. Perhaps some items you missed were from days of old. Cruising has changed over the years. Carnival has an excellent “perks” (as you refer to them) program. Platinum guests get priority embarkation, priority debarkation at tender ports, platinum/diamond party with free drinks and apps., chocolate strawberries delivered to your room, a exclusive platinum gift each sailing and my favorite- 2 free bags of laundry service. (Some things are only on 5+ day sailing) but to get these perks you have to earn them by sailing 70+ days. If all of your previous trips were 7 days, you’re only 1/2 way there. But it sounds like you’re not very into cruising so you’ll probably never earn those perks with Carnival. Sorry it didn’t meet your expectations.
Well, you don't really get alot of perks after only 5 cruises! After everything you complained about, I think you had better stick to land resorts in the US only in the future! Lol
Sounds like cruising is probably not for you. Not sure what type of perks you were expecting after just five cruises. You should’ve gotten at a bottle of water at that level. Maybe Disney World is a better option.
I hate you didn’t enjoy your cruise. Like with anything in life, you will find either enjoyment or misery based on your outlook. The things you chose to see as problems, I would have overlooked.. Baked Alaska with no flame, oh well, no lobster, oh well, people with accents, I actually love that part! It’s nice to see, listen, and learn about people who experience life differently than we do. Maybe stick to a US based resort for your next vacation.
