Review summary

We were rerouted because of the storm spent an extra day on the boat , they provided no compensation for the difference in trip price , missed transportation, didn’t offer transportation assistance stayed on boat due to port closing until 3pm . Almost missed my flight due to lack of transportation available

This was the worst cruise I went on with Carnival . Due to the Hurricane we were Re routed to Cozumel Mexico with no warning after being on board for several hours. I know they are not at fault about the weather but when asked how they would compensate or help with transportation because most of the passengers missed their flights , transportation resources by sitting idle until 3:00 pm . When asked we were told they shut done their resources the night before we travel with 15 or more people every year and this by far was the worst experience on Carnival

I was on the same cruise. I always drive so I don't have to worry about transportation. I booked transportation from our hotel where I left my car. We got an extra day on board which meant we also ate a whole lot more food and had lots more to drink. Plus we didn't pay for Cozumel so why would we be compensated for that. We most definitely got our money worth. Every single one of us on that ship.

I guess when your not in this position it would be hard for anyone to understand. We were and the lack of Communication from our captain and what his plan was quite disturbing we heard from other guests that lived in the Jacksonville area about our port and the time it was going to be reopened when the captain is acting like he doesn’t have a clue. Also to the people saying that’s what you get it when you travel during hurricane season will hurricane season is over. And one more extra day on a cruise ship isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be there is nothing planned there’s nothing to do you’re in rough waters the pool is closed it’s most likely raining and everybody’s in a sour mood because they’re missing a day of work their transportation is messed up and trying to get any sort of Internet connection on the boat is pretty difficult.
