I loved the Liberty. Top notch staff and the size and layout were great. The Lido deck has a stadium deck which allowed me to enjoy the deck parties without being the center of attention. The only tricky part was the rear dining room. You had to go up and over on deck 5 then back down to deck 3 to get to it. I always got lost going there and coming back lol.
Embarkation

Very smooth. We picked an early arrival time and waited about an hour to board. When you check in keep in mind that is your arrival appointment, not your on board time. Early arrival might not be the best option if you carry a lot on with you because you will end up carrying it around for longer. Don't forget to tip the porter. We tip $3-$5 a bag depending how many we have.

Food and Dining

We started out with Guy's as soon as we got on board. OMG it's the best!! Like I get some people may think there are better burger joints out there and I can agree to disagree but anyone who says it's not a good burger..... those are fighting words to me!!
We never ate at the buffet. I'm not a fan of buffet food whether on the ship or off. MDR was awesome. One night the calamari was a little rubbery but other then that I loved everything I tried.
Onboard Activities

The cruise director Adam was amazing!! Every time I caught him leading an activity I stuck around and enjoyed myself. He has so much energy and spends 100% of it making sure his guests are laughing and having a great time.
There was not shortage of things to do like always but the shows were what really surprised me. I don't have super high expectations for cruise ship shows but was super impressed with Flick. One female singer in particular blew me away with her voice. The pyrotechnics were unexpected and really added to the show along with the digital screen.

Service and Staff

As always the staff was superb. Made was our cabin steward and was excellent. The waitstaff was all extremely accommodating and everyone I made eye contact with gave me a huge, genuine smile. They are amazing! Please tip them well. They work so hard and sacrifice time with their families to make a good living.
Ship Quality

No complaints. I've never yet seen dirt or hair in corners like you do at a hotel. Everything is clean...
And yes, unfortunately there is a bit of sewer smell at certain places on the ship. It's not so bad that it would ruin your day but it's there in a few spots. I had read other reviews and expected it. It's honestly not a big deal.
As far as pot goes.... yep I smelled it a couple times also. I person like the smell of it but if you don't, think of it as a bad perfume and move on.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was the first time I tried and interior room and didn't miss the balcony at all. It was quiet and comfortable. Now my husband and I did this cruise alone but when we bring our young children, we will still get a balcony so we can enjoy the view even after they go to bed.
Ship tip
If you don't like something you've eaten, try something else. There is amazing food all over the ship and they will bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy it. One night at the MDR I wasn't excited about any of the entrees so I ordered 4 appetizers, 2 as starters and 2 as my meal, and I absolutely loved it.
We were delayed getting into port and missed our flight. Nicole's fault, not Carnival. I would just recommend being patient. Find a comfortable spot to wait and then WAIT until your number is called. I don't understand those who sit outside the elevators. It just crowds the area up and looks like a super unpleasant way to finish your cruise.
