Review summary
My 13 year old daughter and I went on this cruise and just returned yesterday morning. This is our fourth Carnival cruise because the price is so inexpensive. My daughter loved the teen Club called Club 02. Fluffy from South Africa had a wonderful attitude and really engaged with the kids and made it fun for them. There was bracelet making, scavenger hunts, hide and seek games, karaoke and games designed for that age group. My daughter told me that she had the time of her life! The last time we went she was only 8, so she enjoyed it more now that she is older. We HAD been booked on the Carnival Freedom, but of course, we all know that this is the ship that caught fire on May 26th and was cancelled. I was able to contact my travel agent, who switched us over to the Liberty. I DO get a 1--% free cruise for my inconvenience that I must take before May of 2023! :) There is not much for singles to do, so I roamed the ship, read, sunbathed and was somewhat bored while my daughter was at the teen club. This cruise has a lot of people on it that I would say drink to excess and drinking so much lends itself to being confrontational and belligerent for SOME people, not all. There was a woman next door to us pounding on the door at 1 am asking her husband to open the f**cking door and yelling. I called security and they never did answer because I am sure they were busy dealing with this kind of thing and no one ever answered. I stuck my head out of the door and asked her to stop because we were trying to sleep. Her response was to call me a dumb B. Anyway, we really enjoyed Nassau even though it rained the first three hours we were there and our excursion was cancelled due to weather. However, it was fine because the sun eventually came out and we walked a few short minutes to the beach and swam and had a wonderful time seeing beautiful fish and collecting shells. Princess Cay was beautiful, too and we actually saw a waterspout! I had never seen one before. All in all, it was enjoyable, but next time )(after our free one next month!!), we will try Royal Caribbean or another cruise one just to have a different experience. By the way, it is worth it to get the ocean view room because you don't have to worry about a bunk bed directly over your head and hitting your head in the middle of the night. Bon voyage!Embarkation
