Review summary

I would cruise Carnival again, but overall prefer the interactive activities and pool fun on Royal Caribbean line.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
I only wish someone told us Deck 9 was also open (we were directed to Deck 5).

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I loved the service at dinner, especially our waiter named Charlie! The pizza line wait was over an hour though. :(

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I wish there were more interactive games, like a scavenger hunt or other pool games.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great performers at both shows!

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All (but one rude breakfast staff member) were super sweet!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our steward was FANTASTIC! I think his name was Ida.

Ship tip

Have a short line for the 24 hour food option (more fast options). Waiting over an hour for a slice of pizza for a midnight snack was not fun.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

We only parked there-no visiting

Nassau, Bahamas

Meh- no excursion chosen there; port was nothing to rave about.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

OMG the BEST snorkeling excursion!!!!! It was the best $59 I ever spent! It was the highlight of my trip! The jerk chicken was delicious!

We were on the same cruise - our 3rd on Liberty. It had a much different feel this time as it seemed to be just about fully booked versus having only 800 guests onboard 5 months ago. Strangely enough, the two Lido buffet lines toward the aft end had long lines, but the two identical buffet lines just on the other side of the galley (opposite the Mongolian Wok) had no line at all! I also noticed that the pizza, deli and omelet stations had long lines as well, which I think is due to being short-staffed (visa backlog). Also noticed that about half of the MDR dinner entrees were available on the Lido buffet as well.
