Review summary

We were looking for a way to "get away" for a few days. This was exactly what we needed! Simple, relaxing, and quite affordable.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
I know there are still many issues with COVID related policies and staffing shortages, but it felt like it took way too long to get through the terminal. We had done our testing and vaccine verification in advance, and it didn't appear to speed anything up.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room was great. We had the early seating and had a great experience each night. The buffet was a bit disappointing. Nothing too exciting, often just lukewarm, and with very long lines. The pizza was delicious, but you often had to wait up to 30 minutes to get some. We did The Chef's Table experience on one night and that was AMAZING!!! Highly recommend to anyone who claims to be a "foodie."

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There was plenty to do and we had a generally good experience. Had a great time at the art auctions and trivia!

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The stage shows were very disappointing. After being on other ships that have broadway quality shows, the entertainment here was a big letdown. The singers/dancers in the nighttime shows just weren't good, the piano bar musician was often out of tune, and all of it just left something to be desired.

Children's Programs

We don't have any kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service staff was great, though clearly overworked with current conditions. They were doing all they could and could clearly use more support.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
This was one of the cleanest ships we have been on in a while. It was great! The layout is definitely a bit older, with some decks being quite choppy (needing to go up two floors to get to the other side) but overall good.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The bed was very comfortable, it had plenty of space, and was very clean!

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Another island with palm trees. We didn't book this cruse for the port of call, so we didn't even get off.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Just what we needed to relax for the day. Got a $30 clamshell on the beach in advance which was well worth it to have some shade. The water was cold and rocky, but we just enjoyed relaxing on the beach and snacking throughout the day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy!
