Being our first cruise, we were hesitant. Not anymore! We enjoyed it a ton and are already looking at other cruises. It was a great experience and we were thankful for the options as a family on the boat and ports to make some memories, catch some rays, and rest. MarQ made things so fun on board, as well as his staff. We were impressed! Thanks for a great vacation.

It was great. We had priority check-in and I am glad we did. Made it super simple and it felt great passing by the long line other cruisers.

Food and Dining

Silver Olympian for brunch and early dining was an amazing experience each time. Food was terrific.. I was honestly surprised by how good everything was, being my first time on a cruise.
Onboard Activities

Pools were nice, bags was fun, mini golf was terrible (need heavier golf balls), Green Eggs and Ham breakfast and build-a-bear workshop were both done very well and my kiddo loved them both! The Seuss Parade and story time were incredible for my child as well - very fun and memorable.
Entertainment

DJ's were awesome, Pan Guru on the steel drums was phenomenal, Hasboro game show was totally fun, ALL the live music was terrific! My reason for 3/5 was the PG comedy show.. within the first 3 mins of being there with my wife and 5 year old, we heard the comedian joke about sex with alligators 3 times. Just not PG in my book. Maybe PG means 'no swearing' but bestiality is okay?? Also, the over-sexualized outfits and choreography in the night shows in the main theater seemed unnecessary. Just not sure why the can't be more family-friendly in nature? We truly enjoyed most of what we saw and experienced, but the tweo things mentioned above caught us off-guard.
Service and Staff

Vincent in the Silver Olympian, as well as the other waiters we had did an amazing job and made our dinners enjoyable and made an impression on our family. They were fantastic!
*******My ONE complaint is about Shakil in the liquor store. He was pushy about a specific kind of rum. Even after I identified the liquor I wanted to purchase, he continued to push the other stuff. I was polite in my response, but he continued.. even to the point offering a free gift (a small bottle of Johnnie Walker) if I purchased the rum he was trying so hard to sell me. I ended up buying the rum because the free gift was enticing. He did not mark the free gift on my receipt, so I went back into the store and he assured me it would be there and even wrote a note about it on the store copy of my receipt. When I went to pick up my bottles on Friday morning, the free gift was not there and the person who was handing out the bags acknowledged that it was common that people are promised a gift and then they do not show up.. I couldn't believe that deception was normal and no one seemed to care. Just poor customer service and it makes Carnival look bad. This was my only bad experience on board with staff, but it really ticked me off and I thought it was worth noting in hopes that this kind of thing doesn't continue to happen.*******
Ship Quality

Very surprised to see lots of cleaning and lots of hand sanitizer all around. Plus those tissue papers to grab the bathroom doors with - brilliant! Outside of the buffet lines with all the hands touching the same tongs, the ship was clean and we were thrilled. Also worth noting, I saw staff wiping the walls down - at the kid level! It was amazing to see people cleaning where kids touch to help with germs. Thankful for that!
Cabin / Stateroom

Ocean Suite was amazing. Size was great. Beds were comfortable. Clean cabin, all the time. Fantastic! Great first impression!
Ship tip
The gratuities you pay on the trip do NOT include the bar! That was news to us.
Nothing to do without excursions - we knew that in advanced and planned on enjoying the boat that day - which was fantastic! The port itself requires excursions for fun though.
