Review summary

1-10 (1 could not get worse. 10 excellent) Boarding 8 Fast if you could use vip lines. Those waiting good luck. Waiting on room 2 packing 2000+ people on lido deck with luggage waiting on rooms starts a trip on a bad note. Ship decor. 4 have bot figure out the theme a little miss match with each update to decor. Life boat drill 1. Wow could not hear stood for 30 mins on deck waiting for it to start. To be told sound system did not work well where our group of 300 was so do not talk. Did not work well since 1/2 was already smashed others sitting in floor playing cards because of the long wait. Glad I was not a 1st rime cruiser as would of had no idea what to do in a emergency. Room 6 Limited tv channels only news channel was cbsn Which was a 1 hour news program that was looped for 12 hrs. Room was comfortable. I much prefer sliding balcony doors then a glass door. Room steward was great but I knock off points for no ice, had to ask for clean glasses never restocked. When you first meet your cabin steward you are asked to you want your room cleaned twice a day or once if once am or evening. Don’t I pay a daily tip for twice a day room service? Then you have to sign off on it. Breakfast 1 Breakfast buffet I have been i many hotels that offered more choices and taste better. Eggs cold no taste, bacon they gave you 2 pieces that were soaked in oil. Coffee day 3 finally a decent cup. Pancakes dry and crumpled when picked up. Tables easy to find after day 1. I could understand best to have a cup of coffee and wait for lunch. Lunch 7 guys burgers a 10 except for long lines lunch buffet 5 explain why everyone was at guys. Soup of the day day 1 navy bean, day 2 could not find. Day 3 navy bean. Dinner 8 excellent staff and food was great, Dessert wow really lacking in choice. Improve to deserts and would be a full 10 Entertainment 7 Nice production numbers, comedy club excellent Daytime activities consisted of art auction, jewelry sale, bingo.liquor samples (sale), t-shirt sale. Casino 4 They really need a non smoking area to enjoy the casino. Could of had a much better time. One of the best onboard ship casinos, just way to much smoking. Ports 2 Nassau ok port, Freeport was a freight port you could get off ship and hit some stands or stay on ship and watch them load and unload shipping containers. Beep beep beep beep. You did have a choice of tours to swim with the dolphins or swim with the pigs. Overall I would not do a 4 day Bahama cruise. Carnival did not impress me on this trip. It was a relaxing trip but was not to scale I liked. The staff was excellent.

getting on ship fast but then the wait for the room until 1:30 seem more like a revenue getter for the ship to sell more drinks,

dinner room service was excellent except for the nightly staff dance, If you were one of the unlucky ones that was waiting for food it would come cold as it sat out for the 5 minute dance routine. Breakfast buffet was by far the worst I have ever experienced on 36 cruises.

Onboard Activities

fitness center was good. Onboard activities was same as 5 years ago, hairy chest etc..... need a few new ideas for us repeat customers

Entertainment

Comedy club as always the best, production shows fantastic lighting effects that being said was not a show I would come back on ship and see again., Which I would assume was the reason the theater was only 1/3 full. Repeat cruisers not entertained. I had not been on a carnival ship in 3 years or my rating would be lower.

Service and Staff

waitstaff and room steward was one of the best I have ever had. Never have I sat down and out of dinning room in less then a hour. They were right on Q.

Decor made no sense, areas did not agree in design and was outdated.

Cabin / Stateroom

no complaints, clean and good size. Only complaint no ice bucket or would of been a 4.

Ship tip

I would tell them their stay would be about the same as staying at a hotel for 4 nights that there was nothing spectacular about this ship. Not to bother with the casino as it caters to the smokers.
