Review summary
We were celebrating a special birthday I’m new to cruising this was only my second cruise and it was my daughters first. My first cruise was three nights and this was for I’m definitely ready for a longer cruise. The ship is nice and the same one I was on for my first cruise so I’m ready to try something different. But the Liberty is a very nice ship, very pretty and from everything I’ve seen, She is well maintained and the staff is hard working and friendly.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Diamonds Steakhouse
Overall it was a good experience, my oysters under glass were great and the presentation was wonderful. Our waiter was fun and definitely added to the experience. The food left much to be desired. My daughter had the lamb chops, they were bland and extremely fatty. I mean there was no seasoning on them at all. She was very disappointed. I had the cowboy steak. It was easily 60% fat. Once I cut the fat away I had 5-6 tiny morsels that were edible. If meat is seasoned well and cooked nicely, I’m not opposed to enjoying some of the fat, but this was just pure fat and gristle. The highlight of the meal was the “art” for dessert!! We loved it. If you are celebrating a special occasion (it was my birthday) I highly recommend this tasty presentation.
Onboard Activities
Spa Carnival
They really push you on that first day to purchase a spa service. Know this, once you book a service, you are stuck with it. My daughter booked a seaweed body scrub. After we googled the ingredients and gave it more thought we were pretty sure she would have an allergic reaction. They gave us hell trying to change to another service. She finally was able to switch to a bamboo massage with a very nice young lady, however, the rest of the staff were aloof and bordering on rude.Never again at that spa!!

Ship tip
If at all possible, don’t check your luggage on debarkation, your wait to leave the ship will be miserable. By the time you do get off, the customs area will be swamped.
