Review summary

I wish someone would contacted me that actually care about their customers Cause I have so much to say! I lost time and money that first day was waiting waiting waiting and nooo fun!! Made me feel like a horrible dad choosing this cruise.. :/

The worst! Paid for faster to the fun and my room was not ready! My daughters 18th Bday was ruined! Our luggages were lost until 11:30pm no one cared especially the guest service manager. We lost a whole day because we had no clothes. The excursion we bought on the boat was a scam said there was snorkeling but of course and extra charge! My first time on a cruise and had the worst experience!

Cleaning part of it was a rushed bad job.. the room still smelled like someone just left the room and was clearly a smoker. The blankets smell like it was pulled out the hamper.

Bring you luggage with you! Don’t check it in. And don’t pay for the fast to fun it’s a scam

Yes but the excursion was a scam it clearly said blue lagoon enjoy bathing snorkeling or relaxing... but the snow was a extra charge! Not cool! Not right!

I’ve been on numerous cruises and different lines. Thankfully I had family that had cruises before to take me in my first. There have been some issues but most of the time you can work around them. I have since decided to become a seller of travel and inform my new cruises if all the perks and expectations. Something you don’t always get by booking they the cruise lines themselves. WUATA?

Mrs Johnson....... I trust that you will have a great first cruise and become as passionate about it as the rest of us. Hopefully you are aware of the great vacation guarantee that only Carnival has. If within 24 hours you are not happy, you may notify guest services, disembark at the next port get a full refund and flight back to port of embarkation. Comments about people not smiling and being bothered if a question is asked; that has not been the experience even on the worst of cruises and in a crew of 1,000 that is just highly improbable. The ship tip about not checking the bag to the porter is not practical, just like an airline any bag larger than a carry on must be checked in. My take on the review: 1. The cabin did not feel clean and fresh and was possibly occupied by a smoker. 2. The bags were not delivered to the cabin so they payed for FTTF service and did not get it. 3. The complimentary food was not good. All of these are fair criticisms but should have been resolvable. Asking guest services for a credit for the FTTF service that wasn't received. Calling housekeeping to have the room serviced. A 4D interior cabin at end of hall, poor ventilation makes sense and can be resolved. Which leaves only the food criticism there are many options which may or may not carry a surcharge. Guys burgers, Blue Iguana, deli, pizza pirate, main dining room, buffet, room service, steakhouse, sushi. But it truly sounds like he did not use a travel agent who asked questions to find out the best cruise option for them. (Very important for first timers to have a knowledgeable person advising them about things such as luggage tags and passports - if they didn't have passports they couldn't take advantage of the vacation guarantee as they would not have had the documents to fly home internationally) The cheapest cruise isn't always the best one and wasn't in this case.

Ok... So your luggage was late in coming. You had clothes on. It wasn't as if you were left naked in your cabin. If the first day was a waste, it's on you. Flexibility and good planning is key to a great cruise!

I always get fttf. No wait an embarkation and I Am always one of the first there. My room is always ready. We did get one bag later than the rest 1 time but only by an hour or so. Just glad I don’t travel with him

Like seriously I can’t believe you guys are shaming him. At the point he paid his money and expected a positive trip that’s what he should’ve gotten. I’m praying to God that I have a better experience for my first cruise in November.The nerve to call him lazy. WHEN you go on vacation you don’t go to work. Expecting a clean fresh room isn’t too much to Ask. Sorry you didn’t have a pleasant experience
