Review summary

We love cruising so it is always nice to be on a ship no matter what! Second time for us on the Liberty and it was clean and staff great. Needs a few more hands on type activities for adults during the day.

I gave 3 stars because the meals were cooked well, but the choices each night in the main dining room left me very hungry, or forced you to buy off the upgraded selections. We were also not big fans of the sea day brunch which is usually our most favorite meal on the ship. We waited for over 15 minutes to be acknowledged and another 15 for drinks (apple and orange juice). The food took another 30 minutes easily and they do not serve the breakfast bread basket anymore. The bagel they brought was mini and ice cold (though it was toasted). Wait staff was amazing as always and Komang Surnita, Trigonggo Widodo and Armin Jaranovic were some of the kindest, most respectful servers we have ever had on a cruise. Just disappointed with the menu itself. We did order from the Seafood Shack and it is fresh, cooked to order. Very good buffalo shrimp! Need to add blue cheese as a side for that!

Onboard Activities

Disappointed with the Fun Squad itinerary, we love trivia, cooking demos and that sort of stuff and there was nowhere near as many activities as is normal for a Carnival cruise. Chris did a great job of running trivia for us, and picked up a shift for a sick teammate.

Entertainment

Pretty good performers on the ship, made for enjoyable evenings. Michael Macy and Jaylyn were probably the 2 funniest performers we have seen in the comedy club on ANY ship! Great job!

Service and Staff

Our wait staff made up of I Komang Surnita, Trigonggo Widodo and Armin Jaranovic were very sweet, attentive, friendly and very helpful in choosing our selections.

Ship Quality

The ship was very well kept and clean. The only reason it did not get a five is the furnishings are pretty outdated and need replacement. Common areas were very clean and cabin was kept up nicely (minus the shower curtain which was hanging by 3 clips).

Cabin / Stateroom

For the price paid it was a typical oceanview room. The room itself was very well kept up, but the ocean view window needed a serious cleaning. Shower curtain needs replacement, and rooms need at least one more American electric outlet in each room!
