For our first cruise, this was everything I hoped it would be and more than I expected!

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
This was my only complaint. Most of the food was lukewarm. I was worried about eating some of the dairy and seafood items. Iced tea was way too strong and it seems that the juice they used was supposed to have water added because it was waaaaaay too sweet. I loved the fact you could get something to eat at anytime of the day or night. The burgers at Guy's were AMAZING! The dining staff was very attentive and courteous.
Onboard Activities

I am an introvert and spent most of my trip on my balcony but we did receive a list of all the available activities every day. There seemed to be something for everyone. I did venture to one of the PG rated comedy shows and found it be great!
Service and Staff

Our service was wonderful. I wish I knew the name of crew member that helped a wheelchair bound gentleman in line at the buffet. He stopped what he was doing and came over to help the gentleman put food on his plate. So many behind the scenes crew members don't get enough credit for all they do.
Ship Quality

I didn't like having to go through the casino to get to the dining area. The smoke smell was unpleasant. There might have been another route to get there but we were unable to figure it out if there was. Also, for those that get sea sick, having the main dining room at the back of the boat at sea level was a bit challenging. The view was beautiful but we had to rush to eat before I got too woozy. The wait staff was wonderful about getting us in and out quickly.
Cabin / Stateroom

ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR ROOM!!! I was with my 14 year old son and this was our first time cruising. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading reviews about the close quarters so I opted to get a balcony and I was not disappointed!! We are both introverts and spent most of the time on the ship in our room and on the balcony enjoying the beautiful weather and the views. Three people would be a bit of a tight squeeze with the fold out couch so I will keep that in mind our next trip when we go with a friend.
Ship tip
Only 1?? I would say download the Carnival Hub app to keep up with what is opened at certain times of the day so you can plan your stay on the ship and keep up with how much money are you spending.
This was my first cruise so I have nothing to compare it to but things seemed well organized when we got off the ship. I was grateful that the excursion pick up was literally steps from the ship. My 14 year old son and I did the Two Reef Snuba/Snorkle excursion and had a BLAST!! The boat ride to the destination was pleasant and the crew was very helpful. Our diver that accompanied us for the Snuba part was most patient with me (horribly afraid of putting my head under water - honestly wasn't expecting to do this part of excursion but my son "forced"me and I am sooooo glad he did) and I never did dive to the bottom of the ocean floor but I did finally get my entire body under water before the dive was over!! Just watching my son enjoying himself swim on the bottom was worth it! The coral beds are mostly dead but we did see several fish and some remaining colorful coral. The water was freezing (went in March) but once you jumped in, you didn't even notice!
I am glad they call us off floor by floor. Again, being an introvert I was not looking forward to being squeezed between tons of strangers. We took our time once our floor was called to make our way down and almost all the other passengers were respectful and not pushy.
