More options to embark earlier would have been appreciated.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was good and plentiful. Staff gets upset if you don’t additional tip right away. Wish I would have known. I thought the automatic gratuity was good for this first time cruiser. I learned I had to tip additional or got the complete cold shoulder at dinner.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Enjoyed pool and hot tubs.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Went to Sunday’s comedy shows. The first show with the lady was so Awesome I laughed so hard my side hurt. However, the second lady was horrible and I and about a third of the room walked out. Absolutely pathetic and she pissed off a lot of people which I have never seen at a comedy show before. Discusting and horrible and I’m from the 80s where Nothing usually bothers me!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room stewards were great. As I said earlier, dining staff gave us as new cruisers the very cold shoulder because we didn’t tip the first night because I didn’t know we wouldn’t get something to sign and do not readily keep cash on hand. The second night the waiter wouldn’t even look at us let alone wait on us without us asking. I had to take the waiter aside and tell him I was a first time cruiser and didn’t know we wouldn’t get something to sign therefore I could not leave a tip the previous night. I then made sure I ordered from the bar so I could get a receipt to tip him so we could get service. Very sad!

Horrific and unsafe! Process is broken and I can’t imagine what a fire Marshall would have fined Carnival had they seen the unsafe conditions of over crowding with special needs disabled people. broken.

You do not have to tip if you dont want too. Your gratuities are charged to the room and only if you get good service should you tip. And you shouldnt have been made to feel like you had too. I was recently a first time cruiser and I had the drink package which includes 18% gratuity however I only tipped a couple of times at the bar because the drink might have been extra good. I tipped when I had dinner at the steakhouse because it was amazing and I left my cabin steward a nice tip when I left because he kept our cabin spotless. Trust me if it wasn't to my liking you got no tip! Tipping is not a right, it's based on performance.
