Great 4 day getaway to celebrate my moms 70th bday
Embarkation

We purchased FTF pass. It made getting on the ship very fast. Although there did not appear to be any other perks of having it. Same line as everyone else getting on and off boat at ports.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining room entrees were fine, desserts were good. A little dissaooointed when I asked to taste a wine at dinner before I ordered and was told they wouldn’t do that. The burger place was great, pizza pretty good, and blue iguana was pretty good as well. We definitely didn’t go hungry. I’m not a huge buffet fan ever but breakfast was fast and easy.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Hot tubs in adult area were broken most of our trip and when workinf they were filled to capacity every time we checked. Fitness center was nice but no classes offered. There was a perfect deck near adult serenity area that would have been perfect for yoga.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Main entertainment was good enough, I really enjoyed the side singers playing in the lounges. Went to the piano bar one night and the guy never showed up even though bar was full of people waiting for scheduled show. Comedy club was fun, comedians pretty vulgar but we laughed a lot.
Service and Staff

Clean, plenty of space for 3 of us and our luggage. The only thing was the phone in the room didn’t work-not a big deal.
Ship tip
Go listen to the acoustic singers can’t remember their name, “songs from the heart” or something like that.
Busy. Went with my mom and her friend and we were more interested in just finding a beach to hang out at. We asked for directions and walked to Junkaroo beach which had a few restaurants and bars where you could eat, get drinks, and beat od all had free WiFi. Beach chairs we about $10-15 person. The beach was decent, a bit of gravelly type sand, and a large cement wall/pier was kind of an eye sore but water was clean and blue.
We could have taken a cab to a quieter beach but hadn’t done enough research and this beach was good enough.
Beautiful but packed! We took our time getting off boat that day just to not have to stand in line. Which meant fast travel by water boat to the island but a ton of good chairs were already taken. We were able to find some at the way end and carried them over to the area where we could walk into the water.
Carnival had a free buffet which was again just fine - no complaints - but nothing to rave about. You had to buy alcohol beverages even those that did the beverage plan. The island itself was pretty - again we didn’t explore much just hung out by the water and beach.
Looked like there was a sting ray excursion right on the beach. Looked like the ooor sting rays were trapped in this tiny little fence in piece of water and then about 40 tourists standing i a circle get to let them. Not sure how much this was, maybe fun and easy if you have young kids, but maybe not worth it if you were hoping for lots of excitement.
We had purchased FTF pass which was awesome and super fast getting on. However getting off we were in our designated area about 5 min before it tells you to be there. We were one of the first people there. Over the next 45-60 min we sat and waited while people trickled in. Upon exit there was no structure and everyone just kind of pushed their way to the front. We eventually got off and likely faster than others waiting in other areas of the ship but it was very disorganized. They only had one staff helping at that area and he was also the Bingo guy so it maybe wasn’t his area of expertise.
