Review summary

Overall, it was excellent. Any issues we had were our own fault. The ship is beautiful and we really enjoyed the Christmas decorations.

Embarkation

Everything went very smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and beverages were awesome. We really enjoyed our dinners in the Golden dining room. A hostess, Francesca from Argentina selected our family to do a taste testing in the kitchen Friday night prior to dinner. We tasted soups, appetizers, an entree and a decadent chocolate dessert. It was a very special experience.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. My grandson enjoyed the slide.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the ladies playing string instruments in one of the common areas near our dining room.

Children's Programs

My grandson did not want to participate in the children's programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was all awesome. Our stateroom steward Ady took excellent care of us. He made sure we had everything we needed each night. Our server Dewi, from Indonesia, was a gem. She was very attentive and always remembered our names and made us feel special. As I mentioned above, Francesca in the Golden dining room selected our family to do a taste testing in the kitchen. It was awesome. We felt very special and our grandson ate a shrimp for the first time. On Saturday, my son wasn't feeling well. He hadn't eaten since the night before and he likes soup when he's not feeling well. I asked an employee working the line at the buffet if I could get some chicken noodle soup. He directed me to a security employee (medium build, dark hair). He radioed the chef and delivered a hot bowl of chicken soup to me a short time later. I wish I had gotten his name. He was awesome.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
There were four of us. It was a little cramped but it worked. It was very clean

Ship tip

That finding the Golden dining room was a challenge. You have to go downstairs and then back up. We figured it out but it was a bit confusing.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

2 out of 5
We had a terrible time finding how to get to the ship. The signage is not good. We finally asked a sheriff who led us there.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
The weather wasn't the best so our family beach day could have been better. The island is very beautiful and I enjoyed the boat ride to and from the island.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
My husband selected 10 a.m. as our disembarkation time. We did not read that we had to be out of the stateroom by 8:30 regardless of our disembarkation time, so we spent an hour sitting on the Lido deck when we could have gotten off earlier.
