Review summary

The bottle water is almost $4/bottle and the water is nasty. I gagged every time I took a sip...I ended up just opting for dehydration. They forced us to tip the steward that probably didn’t clean our cabin $25/day. They force tips for crappy service. DO NOT CRUISE WITH CARNIVAL!

Deck Leo’s food was either burned or they were out of food and you had to wait a long time. The only good food was in the dining room.

There were really no activities unless you spend extra money.

The movies were so quiet you couldn’t hear them. The comedians where horrible and NOT funny. The other shows were for kids. Music was so ungodly loud you couldn’t have a conversation in your cabin (if you paid more for a room above sea level). The bar tenders couldn’t hear our drink orders over the music either, so never got the right drink yet had to pay for it.

Service and Staff

Room steward was horrible I don’t think he cleaned our cabin once the whole trip. Our waiters in the dining room were the best and loved them. Greeted us by name and helped with what was good on the menu.

Ship Quality

Everything was nasty dirty. Food staff uses cloths that grow bacteria on them and then wipe down the tables with them. Every glass surfs on the ship had streaks...I’ve see 4yr old clean windows better with just water.

Wow..sounds like poor planning and lack of education on your part more than anything. It may be $4 a bottle but for $4.50 you can have a 12 pack waiting in your stateroom. Also..the gratuities aren't forced. If you are unsatisfied with the service (or instead tipped with cash) some people chose to remove the gratuities.

You are never forced to tip. Dehydration seriously?? There's plenty of things to drink if you don't like the water.

I have been on 6 carnival cruises and never experienced this, also the previous comments on tips it is split up between the stewards, waiting staff all over the boat.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. We get the 12-pack of water bottles delivered to our room for $4.50 and carry on our own soda. We love love the main dining room and don’t really do the buffet. The tips are about $13-$15 dollars a day, split between many staff you don’t see. Paying for Faster to the Fun is a great bonus exclusive to Carnival and it’s one of the reasons we stick with carnival. Research and outlook are important... hope you find a cruise or trip you enjoy.

Worst ending to a family reunion.

Princess Cays was BEAUTIFUL!

Worse service I’ve ever had on a cruise and I’ve cruised a lot. Up until now I’ve made it a point to be a Carnival loyal only.
