Review summary

Vegetarian options need to be more available at all times, as well as actually advertised so we can find them. If a bed looks like a sunken in cartoon bed, throw it out. Kat and Tatiana are the best bartenders. Your comics are hilarious. If something is an extra charge, make sure it's obvious instead of being sneaky. We loved the snuba excursion we went on, keep offering it. Organize disembarkation better.

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was mediocre at best. Vegetarian options were nearly impossible to find. The veggie burger isn't even advertised and the buffet was the only place to get a non-caesar salad and it was closed most of the time. The best part of food and drink was the Alchemy Bar. Best drinks on the ship! Five stars for them. Regarding the dining, we did NOT appreciate that we were basically tricked into paying for the cheap wine at the table at the first night's dinner. There was no indication that there would be an extra charge, so my husband and I opened it - on his last carnival cruise, the wine at the table like that was complementary.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The comedy rocked! Five stars for the comedians. The "LGBTQ mixer" was a bust every time. It overlapped with other better events and was never in the club area, so no one really went. The karaoke was at a different time than what was on the schedule, so we never got to do it. A lot of our time was spent queued up for anything we needed.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Again, the comedians were great! We heard clips of the musicians while we were passing through, the sounded wonderful too.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of your staff were spot on and as accommodating as possible. The staff members we had the most contact with were at the Alchemy Bar - Kat and Tatiana (I feel that I spelled her name wrong) - they were both incredible. That's why we spent most of our time there. They made us exactly what we wanted, were always 1000% on top of everyone's order and entertained us all with pleasant conversation and fancy bar tricks. They was great!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The lack of pass through on certain floors was annoying. It forced us to have to take extra time to go up or down a floor or two just to get where we were trying to be. Everything was as clean as it could have been. There was always staff around cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The bed was wildly uncomfortable. It was ridiculously sunken in on one side. The other side was also worn out, but not in such a cartoonish way as the first. Other than that, it was a fine room.

Ship tip

Know that you will be queued up most of the time because there are too many people on the ship. The layout forces you to take longer if you are trying to go from one side to another on certain floors. If you are a vegetarian, you have to ask staff to figure out where your (very limited) options are located and when they are available.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Disembarkation was ridiculous. Some staff told us to take the stairs to get down to the correct floor, other staff were blocking anyone from taking the stairs. There was an insane amount of congestion around the elevators for this reason. We weren't allowed to get off the ship until two hours after our scheduled disembarkment time. We had to queue up for the guest services desk to get an itemized receipt, which wouldn't be a big deal if we hadn't received probably 20 paper adverts in our "mailbox" through the entire journey and not an itemized receipt. There should be a way to opt out of all that wasteful paper, or be able to select what you will get printed to your mailbox. We also think it’s insane how expensive the photos are, but all the ones that aren’t purchased are just thrown away.

That’s a great idea to be able to “opt-out” of all the unnecessary papers for the spa, art gallery, shore excursions, teeth whitening, etc. 👍👍
