Review summary

Crew was very friendly no complaints here, stateroom clean and tidy. Cleanliness of public restrooms could be better, smokers everywhere, dirty areas on deck, but most annoying was the cruise director “the voice from above” - just hearing his blunt jokes was rising my blood pressure. He should entertain teenagers they may find it funny. Overall the showgroup was not as good as on other carnival ships. Our impression was, they were on stage together for the first time. Looked a bit unprofessional. Silver restaurant was ok, because we were a group of 3 and got a table on a side. But couples were sitting right in the middle. Left and right were other passengers passing by. So not really what I would expect, having a nice Dinner. Carnival sensation has a better system here. What was missing for dinner, a bit background music, in contrast to the pools and serenity deck. Enjoy chill out music on the serenity deck was not possible, since after lunch the party on the other pool started, and trust me, the hairy chest contest is so uninteresting if you try to relax and enjoy the sea and the weather. But, you hear it... Overall, we will not recommend this ship and this cruise.

Don’t go there if you are a none smoker. There are smokers everywhere.

Anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the sea, there are several places on the ship to do that... deck 3 outter decks which most people dont go to, deck 7 all the way forward overlooking the bow, or even deck 10 aft by the running track... virtually no one uses that area either. I find it amusing when people complain about something on a ship when its easy to resolve. Lol.

Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy it. We’ve experienced some of those things but nothing took away from our enjoyment and relaxation. Great food and service, being totally unplugged. For more quietness a balcony room is great.

Have had 2 cruises with Donkey"the voice from above" and they were two of our most enjoyable cruises.

I agree some Cruise Directors just rub some people wrong. Maybe the stage crew was just starting out. That does happen. I don't get the complaint about the table. Is it that you wished you only had a party of two so you could sit at the small tables instead of the larger ones in the edge?
