Review summary

Loud and roudy passengers screaming in the hallways all night, every night. Woke us up every night. Ships crew would do nothing to help. Catered to more of a low-life type of crowd. Fares were cheap enough where anyone could afford it, and it showed! Internet was expensive and barely useable. Think of 300 baud dialup modems in the old days. Those would be considered lightning fast in comparison!

I love that carnival is budget friendly, and I think we always get more than our money’s worth. Being on a fixed income it’s nice to be able to afford a cruise in our old age, but I don’t consider myself or my husband low- life.

Pretty harsh with name calling . Sorry for your experience. I'm glad carnival has cheaper fares yes it makes it easier for EVERYONE to be able to experience a cruise some people are not fortunate to be able to do these kinds of vacations . But to call people low life is very sad and snobbish.

Room locations accounts for a lot as well. We stay high up balconies or suites or aft balconies as there is less traffic and cabins in those locations and people don't tend to use them as a speedway like in some that are miles long.

We have never heard loud people in the hallways in any of our 🚢. I have heard the internet is bad in some spots but we don’t use or need it we are on vacation.

mellbrown, true! You are so right about it being a life style choice. I've watched different episodes of housewives shows! If I felt bad about something I did, I'd just watch an episode and feel better about myself. LOL I recall my mom sharing stories of the many conferences she had gone on for work and how people behaved and embarrassed her. All walks!! It can be hit and miss. Fortunately, we have not had a bad experience yet. There was a family of 30 on our floor, and at times, a little loud, but not offense or intolerable,as it wasn't often.

I agree with carnival cruises having a lot more issues. I have sailed carnival, royal Caribbean, and Disney. Carnival is fun but does seem rowdery then most. Like all cruises it depends on when you go. Summer and spring break are always full of kids. I have noticed carnival does not hold the same standards as other lines. This includes food, service, and entertainment. I noticed on my last carnival Cruise a lot of people smoking cigarettes and pot onboard. The staff was good not great. But like anything if you pay more things tend to be nicer. Carnival is a cheaper cruise where people like to party. It's not my kind of cruise, so I do royal and soon celebrity. There are a ton of cruise lines out there for everyone's needs.

Low-life? Wow 😯. It’s not fun being kept up all night, so sorry you had that horrible experience. However, I’ve been on many trips/vacations around “High-life/High-profile” individuals and it is the same outcome. Oftentimes, it’s because people are intoxicated...that’s not a certain class of people, but a lifestyle choice...or, they just want to cut loose. Try not to let other people (what they do or don’t do) ruin your vacation! 😊

Is there no end to complaints about rowdy passengers ?. Is it an american thing to be as loud and disruptive as possable on a cruise?

Loud people in the hallway's literally happen any where. I've been to resorts, conferences. It's always a thing when I go away I just bring ear plugs and don't let it bother me. Something so small isn't going to ruin my vacation!!!
