The cruise was a adventure. We most likely will not do this again. I had much more fun on the Islands than the ship. Next time I'll just fly to the Bahamas. The ship had over 3000 people onboard. Too crowded.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We were never issued a embarkation time by Carnival, but no worries we just "sailed" on into the ship. It was easy and the rooms were ready on time 130 pm.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The first night we ate at the premium Diamond Steakhouse. The appetizers were very good, but my filet mignon was not tender and wasn't anything special. Dessert was very good, I had cheesecake and my husband had a chocolate sampler. The breakfast was just ok, it wasn't anything special and some items like muffins were out of reach to put on a plate. The omelettes were good . The Orange , Apple juices were warm, used ice the second day. Dinner in the main dinning room was our favorite part of the whole cruise. The selections were very good, just should have skipped the steak resturant the first night. We purchased the drink package, the drinks were always good .
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The drinks at the Blue Iguana were stronger than the Red Frog. Servers were good at both bars.
Czar's Palace Casino
5 out of 5
The casino was a lot of fun and there are good variety of games.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
All the performers were excellent. Really enjoyed the comedy of Eric Showalter.
Children's Programs
We did not have children with us
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the personnel were extremely nice and accommodating. The main dinning staff were the best! They remembered our names and what we liked to drink with dinner every night.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was very clean and all the deck chairs are in very good condition.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our room was very clean, the balcony windows however could use a good dose of windex. The worst was them running the sweeper at 2am.
Ship tip
Use the main dinning room for dinner! Don't pay extra for the specialty resturants.
We puechased a day pass at lighthouse point at Lucaya Resort. It was beautiful . The beach was great the bottom of the ocean was smooth sand and super clear water. Nice gentle waves. Restroom was very close and snack bar area was close as well. Money well spent here. Dont buy this pass online , just buy it at the resort . Its cheaper.
Nassau was a much busier port. Lots to do. We decided to go to Atlantis for the day. We took the ferry it didn't leave until it was packed and not one more person could fit on the boat. Our guide was amusing and informative. Purchased the Beach day/aquarium pass 70.00 each. The aquarium was amazing , we got to see lots of different species of ocean life. The beach was amazing also. The ocean bottom was smooth sand and the water was Crystal clear. The waves however were super strong and huge. I was not used to this and was taken under by a huge wave and it wrenched my knee. I spent the rest of the trip on crutches, due to extreme swelling and pain.
