Overall had a good time in spite of the fact we got the flu 2 days in. Not sure I will take my kids again as they enjoy a more frantic vacation vs us old parents liking to relax. Versus RC, carnival rocks imo. Especially their staff, and food
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Everything was great, friendly helpful hands getting our crowd situated luggage wise, and check in was very helpful. I however HATE the whole safety muster.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Beats RC hands down. Dining hall was amazing, and best 24/hr food choices imo
Guy's Burger Joint
5 out of 5
fantastic burgers and fries on demand. Lots of options, fast, and friendly
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
kids were excited because of the water slide but were disappointed that it was slow and not so great. pool options are limited unless you want to lay out only. Did not use kids clubs, so def not a lot to do during the day at sea for 6-12 yr olds. REALLY enjoyed the outdoor movies and the current/new options they showed.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
we saw the hasbro game show(eh so-so), learned to dance the thriller(kids loved this), Marriage game is always a hoot, live music in the atrium was always fun and entertaining.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Nick, Michael and the gang at supper were so accommodating to our kids, always smiling, and helped us have a great dining experience every night.
Cookie the ship entertainment director was fun, but very helpful when my youngest got sick during leaving. Kasey also provided 5 star help, and also did a mean karaoke night.
SOOOOOO impressed at crew friendliness/helpfulness vs the 'other' guys at RC
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Every ship is confusing to navigate and this one did not disappoint. The crew was always cleaning, and did a fine job of it.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
No complaints. Always clean, comfortable, and Nick went above and beyond even after hours to help with a couple sink issues
little to nothing here without doing an excursion. We noticed few people left the ship and we found out why. Not much in the way of entertainment, shopping, or food here.
Its Nassau, so you take the good with the bad. The locals harassment trying to get to the straw market unnerved my wife. I gotta give a shout out to "the pepper pot" restaurant one block off market st. Best Jerk chicken ever! Its a dive so don't expect gilded tables or silverware.
Tortuga rum cake and even try some local sourced soursop tea are things you should do.
With a horribly sick 6 yr old, I gotta say the crew bent over backwards to help us see the ship DR after hours, and literally walked us off the ship without making us stand in a mile long line. again, Cookie and Kasey, you guys rock and ya'll need a raise!!!
