The only problem I had was with it not being accessible for handicap, and some of the fpod. I have found out that the islands are more accessible than this ship

Oh, no! Regarding your cabin! We had an accessible cabin on the Triumph, & when we booked, our PVP w/ Carnival DID let us know that if someone who needed it, we would be bumped. We knew that early on and would have totally been fine to be bumped for someone who needed it. She told us there were several cabins & it seldom ever happens, but it can... That is the way it should be, unless they were actual taken up by those who needed them already. But that should have been made clear to you.

When I book a cruise I have one page on my computer of the deck lay out so I can pic my cabin. The deck plan will tell you what rooms are handicapped. the deck plan will also show you what is above, below and next to your cabin. You do not want a cabin under a bar, club open deck, next to stairs, elevators or crew passages. If you booked a "Run of the ship" cabin to get the lowest price you get the left over cabins that nobody picked so no guarantee of getting the cabin class you want or a specialty cabin like handicapped. If you cruise again I would suggest you book directly with the cruise line and you check your cabin # at time of booking so you know it is a handicapped cabin. If food is a big issue with you I would look to a more upper scale cruise line, just remember the ship is cooking for 2 to 5 thousand people so everything is rather middle of the road. The extra pay dining has better food and service than the free MDR or buffet. The steak House on Carnival is great and worth the extra $ 35.00 IMHO.
