Review summary

Due to all of the mishaps we experienced, we will most likely not travel on a Carnival Cruise again. Guest Services was rude and not helpful in any way, and we felt as if we were just one of the herd.

Everything was decent. Nothing amazing. Some of the desserts were a little gross from sitting out for so long. But other than that everything was good.

Onboard Activities

It was so crowded on the ship that it was nearly impossible to enjoy many of the onboard activities. We found solace in the fitness room where not many people were.

Czar's Palace Casino

We had a good time but it was only our second time being in a casino so we wanted to make sure we were doing things correctly. We went to the help desk and asked how to use the machines. The lady we spoke to was rude and impatient with us and would only have a 30 second conversation with us before she told us to move on. We were not happy so we left.

Service and Staff

Our housekeeping staff was lovely, as were the waiters and many other ship personnel. However, when it came to guest services we were very disappointed. We had the expectation that all cabins were smoke free, when many guests chose to smoke on their balcony and had it waft into our cabin. We called guest services several times about this issue and they did absolutely nothing other than try to dispute our claim. Another issue was the maintenance that was going on below us where the lifeboats were. They were using loud power tools at all hours of the day to the point where we couldn't stand it anymore. We called guest services again and they tried to tell us there was nothing going on when we had video evidence of what we saw and heard. One guest services personnel came to our room, walked around, said he didn't hear anything, and then left. They were rude, and not helpful at all. We were very disappointed to spend all this money on a cruise we really didn't enjoy.
