Decent enough ship for a short cruise though the crew seemed a bit annoyed by having to be there. Internet bandwidth was horrible so very frustrating to pay for something that did not work. One sea day is not really enough so consider going on a bit longer one if you can. The Liberty is very nice and ranks higher than the Paradise in my opinion. Nassau is a bit boring for me after having visited there several times. My opinion: any day on a cruise is better!!!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Port Canaveral Embarkation is one of the easiest. Parking garage is a few short steps from entering for checking in and getting onto the ship. Quick process. Nice people. Fast to the fun!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food in the dining room (Golden Olympian for dinner, Silver Olympian for breakfast) is the usual Carnival-menu. Love the brunch -- always delicious pastries and filet mignon! First time on this ship so got to experience the BBQ place for lunch -- wonderful pulled pork and the slaw was fantastic! Guy's Burger place was a bit disappointing (just another burger) -- short line so didn't mind; not sure I would wait in a long line for one.
Onboard Activities

Relaxed and sunbathed on the upper back deck of ship. Plenty of chaises and not too crowded. Usually do the Serenity Deck but that was forward on this ship so we passed.
Entertainment
Did not go to any shows.
Children's Programs
Did not have any children with us.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Less than stellar service in the dining rooms and with our cabin. Dinner service was extremely slow and almost seemed disorganized. The Hostess seemed annoyed when we asked for a table for us, especially since that is why we always get "Your Time Dining". One night got seated under the stairs which meant people were basically on top of us while we were eating; not pleasant. Cabin Steward asked if we really needed service 2x day. Had to choose between morning or nighttime. We chose morning but still came back to an unmade room. In many ways, we wondered if the ship was understaffed or if the crew was really just burnt out and didn't care about customer satisfaction. Definitely not the great service we usually have on a Carnival cruise. Got ignored 3x in the Fun Shop until a nice young lady asked if I needed to see anything. She goes by "T" and she was bright star in the otherwise dim crowd of sales.
Ship Quality

Ship seemed newer and definitely kept up well. Not accustomed to the Serenity Deck being in the front of the ship so we didn't go up there at all.
Cabin / Stateroom

Very efficient layout of the bathroom and 3 closets were definitely a winner for me. Nice dark room which is heavenly for catching up on much needed rest. Great location just down from the Aft Stairs/Elevators. Usually choose an oceanview but this was a great interior cabin!
Ship tip
If you can live without it, don't bother getting an Internet Package. The service was extremely poor and was frequently unable to connect or the speed was so slow that things timed out. Save your money and wait until you get into Port.
Shopping and a few places to see within a short walk from the pier. Been to Nassau and Freeport a few times so no excursions for us. Shopping is always fun and Shandell at Diamonds International was fabulous! My kids always like things from Del Sol, too.
Seemed to be some confusion on getting off the ship or when each deck was getting released for walk-off. Many moments of no communication which caused many to just start heading to the gangway. Had plenty of time to get one last breakfast in at the dining room so didn't feel hurried.
I got off the Liberty on Sunday and we enjoyed ourselves. I must agree though, the social media package was not worth a dime since it didn’t work most of my trip
