My kids were bored. They went on the slide over and over. They couldn't enjoy the pool because of rowdy kids and parents doing belly flops in jam packed pools. The mini golf looked like a depressing afterthought. It was boring and built around the famous Carnival tailfin. 1 ping pong table (for 3600 guests). Jacuzzis were OK, but very crowded. Oh yeah, there was a bean bag toss. The shuffle board court must be an homage to the owners' grandparents. Please read all comments in this review

Parking is very convenient at Port Canaveral. The lines moved smoothly. The Rep that checked us in was not very careful, and I needed to point out some of her errors. She was friendly and finished our check in.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Positives:
1. Blue Iguana Cantina had fresh, tasty food with a nice salsa bar.
2. The Deli was open until 11pm (no roast beef, though).
3. Portions in MDR were larger than I expected.
4. Service in buffet area was friendly. Srirat, Anolek (I think she is from India), and Panthita were very
helpful.
5. Chocolate extravaganza was a nice surprise.
6. Drinks were very good and priced fair.
Negatives:
1. The food in the buffet was not good. Meats were chewy, veggies were bland, fruits were not sweet.
2. Guys Burgers is overrated. Long wait for an average burger.
3. BBQ on deck 10 was horrible.
4. MDR was the BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT. 1 night veggie lasagna, another night beef lasagna!! They
were equally bad. Brisket--tough. Veal parm--tasteless. There was no variety in the desserts.... Very
sorry options. To be fair, the appetizers were hit or miss.

Entertainment

I missed the show "Love and Marriage". I liked the show "Flick". The 80s music show was OK. The violinists in the lobby were good. The Motown tribute was very good with a shout out going to the passenger who sang "Respect" and "Proud Mary". She was great! Unfortunately, the CD, Donkey was not. His announcements would leave out the time or location of many activities. He took the sexy body contest and dragged them out forever. Dude, this isn't the Olympics! His tagline is annoying. And he is pathetic to ask for a Facebook response on the final day.
Children's Programs

My kids, 9 and 8, didn't like hearing all the profanity. They also felt bullied by some 11 and 12 year olds. They were in there for 1 day, though.
Service and Staff

Service in buffet was good. Srirat, Anolek, and Panthita were very helpful and friendly. Staff was asking us if we need water, tea, or juice.
Service in MDR was disappointing. Head waiter did try to learn our names. He didn't offer suggestions unless we asked. He became more comfortable towards the end of the cruise. His assistant was nonexistent. The lady offering the bread and water was very good.
The Hostess, Jasmina, is an absolute waste of space and time. One evening, I asked for an earlier seating. She looked down and said "what is your scheduled time?" I told her that I was assigned late seating, but I am on the wait list for the 6pm seating. She said that nothing was available. I asked her if the other dining room has an opening. She replied "I am not the Hostess there!". I asked her how high up on the list I was..... And if she could please ask the "head host" if anything was available. She gave me a memorable disgusted look on her face and went through the motions of pretending to do her job. She gave me the answer that I expected. After dinner, we waited for the elevator in front of her stand. Employees buzzed about. She stood still in place, head down, with a miserable gaze frozen on her face. Not the face you want on the MDR.
The room steward, Dewa, was very good. I was disappointed that he offered service only once a day. I guess that is Carnival's choice, not his. He made up for it by welcoming us each day, offering to change our beach towels, and keeping our room fresh and clean.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
1. Wasted space on top deck partially taken by "shuffle board!"
2. Splitting MDR on opposite ends of the ship is a bad idea.
3. Galley on deck 3 blocks access from MDR to lobby.
4. Ceiling in Lido buffet is cholstrophobic, tables too close.
5. Broken mirrors in Men's room, rubbish smell at poolside.
6. Rust is apparent under the coats of paint.
7. Lobby and Promenade are dull walking areas.
Cabin / Stateroom

Very spacious. Layout allowed for TV viewing from bed. Lots of closet space! The bathroom was cramped a shower curtain instead of a door. Some of the dresser drawers were warped. Overall, we were happy with the room.
kids act the same way at school, home and church. why do you think they are gonna change on a ship. also some parents dont care how their children represent them especially when their back is turned. just walk away calmly and enjoy your cruise and don't stress over someone else mess. Happy cruising!
bad kids can ruin any cruise if you travel during summer or school breaks I only go when school is in so I can enjoy cruises with adults it's much better and never do spring break
We loved Liberty, but we love ever ship. Pools and hot tubs are always full, no matter when you go (we cruise in the winter) and no matter what ship. A shame your kids were bored. I almost hate to say this, but maybe your kids being bored is more a stmt about your kids than about Carnival Liberty.
Yep that sums it up zero respect and could not give a shit parents they just get on the ship and kids disappear!! They could not give a rats as long as they are not hassling them .. people need to start complaining to customers service and security.. I will if it happens too us !!!!!
Well lets face it... in the PC, never hurt anyones feelings, cry-baby world we live in now days... the large majority of parents are only raising self absorbed demanding brat kids anyone who have zero respect for anything.. including themselves. So you go on a cruise, so why expect the kids now days to act any different on a ship vs how they act anywhere else? If they are bothering you, say something to the crew staff... or say something to the kids to knock it off, or if you see those same kids with the parents later, tell the parents what has happened.... kids goofing around and being loud is just being kids. But if they are disruptive, dangerous, or being disrespectful to others... then say something. If its worth getting pissy about, its worth doing something about it.... unless your just one of the herd... of course. lol
Sorry but I partially agree, yes going when school is out is goung to cause there to be alot of kids but I have found, after being on 4 Carnival cruises, which travelbugg are not listed in my profile because I didn't have the patience to list all my cruises and I know you will admonish me for as you have with others multiple times, have found the kids on Carnival cruises seem to be more out of control than on other cruise lines. this happens whether cruising during peak kid times or not. for that reason my last Carnival cruise last November is my last cruise on this line. I have been cruising since I was 10 years old in 1978 and I know my parents would have never allowed me to act the way I see kids acting, nor do I allow my kids to be as rowdy and poorly behaved as I have experienced.
The Liberty has been my favorite ship so far... and as others have said, you get what you get when you don't do your research. Research and common sense says you don't take a cruise in peak summer times, and NOT expect it to be crowded. The pools are always crowded, and you swim during off times.. early evenings, early mornings, etc.. It cracks me up when I hear people complain about a specific ship for crowds, or long lines, then come to find out they were just being one of the herd following the crowds during peak times... peak time of year, peak time of day for buffett, peak time of day for pools.... lol. I bet they drive in rush hr traffic vs going in early.. lol. Bahhhhh. Sheep
Peak cruising times are during the summer months when kids are out of school. My preferred cruising month is May (prior to Memorial Day weekend); not as many kids and not during hurricane season. I usually pull my kids out of school to do so since they have stuff like Field Day, and snow day carry overs during that week anyway so they aren't missing much. Next time do a better job researching ships prior to booking. I find the larger ships has more to offer.
Yep especially you need to chose your time when you cruise we have 18 cruises and the only one which was the spirit Xmas cruise that was full .. which you would expect also you picked one of the older smaller ships that attracts family's ..
you need to do your homework ...... 🍹😎
