Review summary
If this was my first time cruising and I had nothing else to compare it to, then maybe my experience wouldn't have been as disappointing. This cruise felt like it was not properly planned out and the use of space on the ship seemed a little lackluster. But beyond design of the ship that I didn't like, the service was subpar. It felt as if every time anyone had a request of the dining staff, it was a huge hassle for them to complete the task. We even had the wrong food brought to our table and did not get the replacement meal until after the majority of our group was eating dessert. The ship also has this constant vibration at all times. I've never felt this before in any of my previous 8 cruises on other lines, and at times made several people in our group sick. None of us have ever suffered from motion sickness on any of our previous cruises. The boarding process felt like I was at the DMV. I did not feel like I was about to embark on a wonderful time. On top of all of this, the ship had several areas of exposed rust and almost every bathroom had a toilet, urinal, or sink not working. I would not recommend this cruise to any of my friends and I will never cruise on Carnival again. Back to Royal Caribbean and Disney for my family.
The only good thing about the cruise was the room. It was spacious and had plenty of storage options. The decorations were a bit gawdy but I did not mind it too much.
