Review summary

This was my fifth time sailing with Carnival. We asked for a 6:00 p.m. dining time and ended up with a 8:15 p.m. time. We went to the Head of the dining room and was told they were taking requests and it was no guarantee and that they could not change it before the next day. My doctor has asked that I eat by 6:00 p.m. and since the earliest option is 6:00, that is why I always choose that. I do not like for someone to change something and not contact you to see if it is okay. There was a lady in the gift shop where the carnival cups were and she was very rude. They need to put people in there that can speak and understand English. The ship had a smell as if sewage was backed up. Instead of them taking the ships right back out they need to check the problems like that instead of trying to make every dollar. In other areas, staff acted as if you were a bother when asking questions.

You can pretty much know what their menu is. They need to have more healthy options. They need to have one area for smoking. To get to the gift shops and customer services you had to go through smoke. That is irritating because smoke makes me sick and hard to catch your breath.

Not as friendly as on the other Carnival trips. In dining area, you got your food and never did get a visit back to refill your beverage drink. I guess they know they are getting the gratituity and do not care.

you clearly have WAY too much time on your hands! to even make that comment about employees English or lack there of, is DISGRACEFUL and shows you have ZERO CLASS!!! we just got off this same boat, the boat was clean, unbelievably friendly and helpful service, smoking, simply avoid those areas!!!! that is common sense! 90% of the boat was non smoking!!! our dinner service time was not as requested, but rectified immediately (see when you are kind and polite, people respond!) the lido deck fun one end to the other had open dining ALL DAY LONG! with every food imaginable and to EVERYONE'S satisfaction! your doctor forgot to prescribe your Prozac for this trip!!! next time I suggest you take it!!

There's an option when you first book your cruise to choose your timing dime and it looks like either you skipped over that part or you booked at the very last minute

Agreed. Staff was above and beyond for us. We didn't bring clothes for the cruise elegant night so we hit the Lido buffet - it was great! We were on 2 and I never noticed any strange smells. We spent a lot of time in the casino and I didn't even notice smoke there and I'm very sensitive. Overall, well, I'm ready to book my next cruise for my honeymoon next May already and if the Liberty is the ship, I'm on board!

I just got off the Liberty last week and didn't experience any of these problems. In fact, out of 4 cruises this was the best!!! It did seem like there were more smoking areas than any other ship I have been on. But, we just avoided those areas. This was such a fun ship and I would definitely go on it again!

No other cruises or reviews. What ship were they talking about? This is likely a fake review trying to spread hate about a rival cruise line or a disgruntled ex-employee.

When I book my cruises, I check if everything is correct including my dinner time. Sometimes they can't make changes till the second day. I would have had dinner on the Lido Deck. By the way, all employees are tested on their English skills. Smoking has always been a problem, but over the past several years, it has become less of a problem. Avoid the casino, the Lounge that allows smoking and the deck where it's allow. As for the sewage smell, it happens. Nobody likes it. And they try to correct it. The crew that fixes this problem is on the ship so why delay sailing? If they delay sailing and a port was missed you would probably still be upset. Bottom line, wh1949, maybe cruising is not the vacation for you.

I'm curious what they said when you told them that your doctor asked that you eat by 6? also I personally like bad reviews, that's the whole purpose of this app. it's a useless app if we all just do 5 star reviews. also cruising is not for everyone.

Carnival does have designated smoking areas and you cannot smoke on the cabins even on the balcony. You just sound like s chronic complainer. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Also, if you have to eat at a specific time get a letter from your doctor and present if to the Maitre'D.
