Review summary

We were disappointed with our ship, the Liberty! Our room was not cleaned properly when we embarked and even after we complained they never corrected the issues. The overall cleanliness of the ship was not very good, if you took a picture out of any window it was distorted because of the dirty windows! The service in the dining room was not par with our past cruises and the food was mediocre. The first night out I couldn't even cut my very dry pork tenderloin & my table mate couldn't cut her grilled meat either.

We had good weather so we had smooth sailing! I really like that we no longer have to carry or wear our life jackets to muster! (April 2016 we did). We enjoyed the Fat Tuesday festivities very much! I like to participate in onboard activities, those were fun & a good way to meet others. I will not choose to sail on carnival again.

Not cleaned properly the whole trip! Even after the management of room services came to see what our complaint was there was no change! The size of our cabin was good.

Ship tip

I would tell future cruisers to bring their own water but they can't! Overall cleanliness/service was not up to par! In port met passengers from other Carnival cruise ships they had the same complaints as we. Perhaps it's not the staff just Carnival Cruiseline protocol that needs to be revisited!

The Sands Brewery was a great time! Say Hello to Tiny & Crystal for us! Did you know there is a huge beautiful cavern there never saw an excursion thst mentioned that, wonder why? It's actually the worlds largest! Loyd was the best taxi driver on the island!

Mostly shopping here, but had some good Bahamian beer at Sharkeez for Fat Tuesday. Very nice local women gave us good info! We enjoyed walking around Atlanta!

liberty had mechanical problems with its bow thrusters back in November of 2016. That problem was corrected, however i keep hearing that the ship has vibrations here and there due to propulsion issues, and age which is the reason it was switched from Galveston doing 7 day cruises with carnival valor.

That is unfortunate. We have had two absolutely great cruises on the Liberty even when they were having mechanical problems. Staff, entertainment and food was wonderful. Especially the steak house.
