Review summary

Not a good experience for a first time cruise.  Had to turn around to take a woman with a broken leg back to port; it rained for three days so outdoor activities were cancelled--better like trivia games because that's all you get for entertainment when it rains; stage show cancelled due to rocking boat; engine problems so could only go slow speed; late arrival in Cozumel (3pm instead of 8AM) so excursions cancelled or cut short--beach time at dusk isn't really beach time in my opinion; rushed back to ship so didn't have time to shop; slow trip back to Galveston--arrived 10 hours late; 2 hours to get off boat finally at 8PM (no food served after 6PM); 2 hours in the customs line, so missed work the next day.  No compensation given to passengers for any of this inconvenience.

Very disappointed--everyone told me cruise food was so great--not what we experienced. Veal parmesan was tough, desserts were not fantastic.

Snooty, uppity, not pleasant or welcoming at the hostess station. Waiters ignored my daughter and I and focused instead on the large groups at the nearby tables. Bar tenders no better at displaying a pleasant attitude toward the cruisers.

Sorry that happened but accidents do happen. If it were you or your family you'd want the best medical care possible, I'm sure.

I would still go into manage your cruise. Maybe they've got a notice posted or something. You may have to call to see why you haven't received any notification. Sorry...

My # is entered for alerts but I haven't gotten anything and we driving 5 hours into Galveston tonight but I'm not going to if the boat doesn't sail til midnight!!

Wilson412-how did y'all find out about these changes? I'm on that cruise too and have no notification of changes to the schedule or port??

Our cruise is supposed to leave by 6pm on 10th. Now it is leaving at Midnight and instead of going to Cozumel we are going to Progreso. They only compensation they offered is 50 credit to spend on the ship.

At least your boat left the port. I was on the next cruise out when you arrived in Galveston . I waited 2 hours just to park my car because all spaces were still full from the liberty's late arrival . Stood in a mile long line for 3 hours and finally boarded the liberty at 11:30 only to leave the "cruise that never left the port" the next morning. .Shit happens sometimes. Not carnivals fault

That does suck for you, no doubt about it. But it can happen on any cruise line. The weather ia th weather and the morally right thing to do for the injured woman was to return. Would giving you money have fixed those bad episodes? Because something sucks, which your trip potentially did, that does not entitle compensation. Maybe a gesture would have made you feel better but it won't undo what was done.
