Review summary

It was what I expected. As a senior citizen, sometimes the announcements were spoken so fast  we did not understand what was being said. A ships floor plan in the cabin would be helpful. To much time not knowing how to get around the ship.

If the Alaskan cruise is Princess, they give you a foldable map.

Yes I would definitely recommend reviewing the ship deck layouts prior to your cruise, and as said above, the deck layout card they give you prior to boarding is a good quick reference. Luckily, several of the Carnival cruise ship classes have VERY similar deck layouts... so once you figure out one ship, the next one should be much easier. Happy Cruising!!

The card they give you at the window where you get your sign and sail has a layout of the ship. Also, there are maps of the ship at every elevator. Sorry you couldn't find your way around.

My mom and dad are going on an Alaskan cruise sometime in the next couple of years. They are in their 70's. My mom gets around with a walker and my dads pretty fit. I suggested to them getting a "lay of the land" by printing deck maps and mark where they are more interested in going. That's what my daughter and I are doing, currently. We have until June 3rd though. Did you have fun though? How were the rooms? What did you like best?
