Review summary

This was our first cruise, celebrating a bit early, our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were able to use our united miles so that was great too. Embarkement process was easy. If you want to eat, I suggest you get on before 2:30 as they will start to pack up all the food until after the safety briefing. If you want to take bottled water make sure it's in your luggage as you can't carry any drinks on. If you are a first time cruiser, I suggest taking your own lanyon and an empty water bottle/coffee cup to refill.

We loved the Mini golf up top, watched two live shows, enjoyed eating breakfast at the silver dining room and meeting new people. I can recommend the blueberry pancakes and hashbrowns (order a double serving of hash browns as they are small). The fries at Guy's Burgers are amazing! Burgers were good too. Didn't like the pizza from the pizza place. Buffet food was ok. Breakfast and dinner were the best. Cruise director, Frankie was good and had a real presence on the ship. Liked watching a movie on the big screen, popcorn is provided. Bit annoying that blankets cost money to rent. Went to "Tea time" twice at 3pm. Regular tea is free, herbal tea is minimal cost ($2). Food was very good. Enjoyed finding a spot to read on the deck. Hot tub and pool was always packed and pool is tiny. There was alot of people drinking as it was a weekend cruise. TV in room is small and not great reception but didn't need it as so much to do. Enjoyed the PG comedy shows. The photos on board are way to expensive. I think they could charge way less or offer them as a jpeg file. They print so many and I'm sure alot go in the bin! Rooms were always kept clean and we enjoyed the towel animals that were put in our room. We loved our day in Cozumel. Disembarkement was very easy. Bit annoying that people who paid $5 to get a cart and person to push it for them when they got off the boat were bumped to the front of the customs queue at the end.

Felt like we had a lot of room. The lounge was soft and comfortable to read on. Lots of hanging up space in wardrobe and coathangers provided. Hair dryer also provided. Bed was very comfortable and room was nice and dark and quiet. Shower was adequate, no conditioner was included.

Snorkelling. Book a tour through "Beach Bums". We booked through united airlines website and had a private tour, even though we paid for a group tour. All the carnival tours were packed!

Very detailed review and appreciate the photos. We are leaving in 2 weeks on Liberty, first cruise. What is the lanyard for and if you want to take water do you have to pack it in your suitcase?  I'm trying to only take what we need. Thank you!

Glad you loved your first cruise Brad! Where do you want to go for your second cruise?

In my past cruises, we could each bring a 12 pack of drinks to carry on, NOT in luggage. Has this policy changed?

M3lissa, you are right. Water is a nominal fee to have cases delivered to your cabin, and 1 12pack of soft drinks or juice as a carry on, as well as 1 bottle of wine per person over 21.

It is my understanding that you can no longer bring water on the ships and you must bring your beverages (allotted 12 OK of cans and wine) in your carry on or carry them on board. If you pack them in your luggage they may throw them away.

Thanks for the info, this will be our first cruise (also on the liberty) so it definitely helps!
