Review summary

My mom and I went on our first cruise!

We had a good time. On our last day, my mom

said, "son, where are we going next". To that, I said

"mom, where would you like to go next so that I can

call my agent when I get back home."

Taking my mom on her 1st cruise Dec 3rd to celebrate her 87th birthday & my husband's 74th. This is our 6th cruise & I think I'm more excited for this one to see my mom's reaction when we board. Can't wait

I took my stepdad with me and my daughter a month ago on our first cruise to the Bahamas on Carnival Elation....got home and a week later booked our next trip for Cozumel in July next year. These are great memories and so relaxing. Don't have to rush, can do what you want when you want, eat anytime you want...can't believe I waited so long. ♡♡♡

please take your mom again, reason I say this is my have and i have done 2 cruises and love it so we decided to take our son, his wife our daughter and her husband on a cruise and we were going to renew our wedding vows on the cruise. well as we were planning this cruise our daughter passed away and my son said he would not do it. my wife and i went anyways and some close friends came with us. we did renew our wedding vows but it was so hard on us . now we have 2 more cruises booked as I know that is what our daughter would want us to do and maybe one day our son will join us with his family. life is short and live it as tomorrow might never come

My nice took me on my first cruise in October 2014 since then we have been on 8 together. Yes you make beautiful memories. So enjoy all the time together. Life is short and you don't know how long you have.

On the Panama trip, her older sister joined us. It was the last time they were together as my Aunt lived in Florida and Mom's in N. J. I wanted everyone to dress somewhat formal for pictures and the one of just the 2 of them was wonderful. We all have a copy. My Aunt passed this year, but when ever we spoke, we always talked about the great family vacation. Mskarla63, you're right, cruising can give some wonderful memories and do bring comfort.

@pants -that's beautiful -as long as she is willing & able take your mom -look @ all the beautiful memories you are making -which one day will bring you comfort

After my Father passed, my Mother age 75, took my wife, myself, my sister and brother in law on our first cruise as a family. One rule, we had to have dinner together. So we went and enjoyed. After, she said, I'll pay again in 5 years. 3 years later, she took us all to the Panama Canal. Then she said, O. K., we'll do it again in 3 years, 1 1/2 years later she took us and 2 of her adult grandchildren on a cruise. She took us once more, but there were some problems . Now at 86 and needing oxygen and at least a walked, she would like to go again. Maybe next year and I'll pay her way. She's still fun, in fairly good health and hasn't lost anything, mentally.
