Review summary
My wife and I never cruised before so we decided to try our first cruise on the Carnival Liberty. The ship is starting to show it's age. The balcony cabin (aft deck 8) was actually quite nice. However, the vibration from the engines vibrated 24 hours a day. I mean vibrated. It shook up and down all day and night whenever the ship was underway. The shower drain was clogged. The smell of sewage in the hallway was awful. Our friends staying next door finally complained loud enough to get it fixed. The food was not very good in the buffet or the dining room. Many were overly greasy and saucy. The bartenders were inattentive and many times we were ignored by them. One of the biggest problems was the smoking. They allow people to smoke in the casino and the starboard decks. Just awful for non smokers. The overall experience was so negative that we probably will never cruise again.

Ship tip
The photographers are so annoying and constantly hawking you to take more photos. Really expensive photos at that.
